for me)She never liked me but it has gotten worse since july when i married "her" husband.Now its almost unbearable.They share joint custody but Matt always has to call sue and ask her permission for me to do anything with his son(example taking him shopping alone or attending a school fuction)If she says no than no it is.Once i sent a note to the teacher about homework and she found out and sent a letter to the school board saying i am to have NO contact with HER SONS school.The worst part is matt will not back me on any of these issues. He does not want to make any waves with her so he just goes along with whatever she wants.We spend almost everynight fighting over this and he will not see my side(he has told me to just accept it or he will leave me,period)Should i just back off and allow her and matt to do all the things with thier son like b-day/x-mas/school functions and i just stay out of the picture?Please i would like to here from others in blended families on what to do

I mean, JUST friends, not friends with priveleges or women you secretly want to have sex with so you pretend to be friends with them. I ask because I recently met a man I would like to be friends with, he's really cool and intellectual, but I can't tell if he is interested in more (and I'm married so I won't give more). Is it possible for us to be friends?

I just graduated with my BA in journalism. Currently, there aren't any entry-level positions available in what I want to do in my area so I would have to move out of state to actually begin my career. However, I am also 1 1/2 years into the best relationship I've ever had yet he has no career mobility at all. I'm worried that if I stay here and take a job in something not directly on the path to my dream job that I'll be stuck with that lingering "what if...". But, I also fear I'll have that feeling if we go our separate ways. "What if" we would have stayed together? Most of the positions in my field require 18month - 3 year contracts so it would definitely be years apart and then there's no guarantee that something will open up back home.
In the end, does fate really have a way of working things out? I'm having a hard time putting faith in the fact that "everything will work out the way it's supposed to". Any input - personal experience, regrets, lessons, etc. is always appreciated

I am engaged to a guy who seems to not care.
This behavior has been going on for a long time and I was about to break it off when he popped the question.
I am confused. Why do his actions say I don't care but then he asks me to marry him? In a nutshell, he is always eager to help his friends but not me and is always at this one guys house to the point where I am seriously wondering if he is gay. He also turns me down sexually nine times out of ten and doesn't initiate much and if we do actually have sex I don't get any foreplay 'because he thiks I don't need it' and has every excuse to not have sex. Also, he doesn't do anything for anniversaries, doesn't buy me anything for my b-day, and he only got me something for X-mas because he knew he better because of all the other times he missed.
He said I am lucky I got a 'card' for my b-day because he doesn't even get his own brother anything for his b-day (interesting he didn't mention he doesn't get anything for his sister either.).

My boyfriend clams he loves but yet when he's around his friends it seems as if i dont exist. I also got hurt a couple of weeks ago and he didn't call to ask was I okay. My boyfriend's ex girlfriend e-mailed me today. We have been together for over 3 years now. But she said that he tried to get back together with her a couple months after he and I had started dating. So I just asked him about it today before jumping to conclusions, and his reaction makes him look bad. he started yelling and screaming and swearing at me, now won't talk to me. we have been together for 2 and a half years. I love him with all my heart, but he doesn't treat me like he use to.. I live with my dad due to money issues and he lives with his mom also due to money issues.. But he use to want to come out here and stay with me and wanted to go do things, the past few months he mostly wants to stay home, play his xbox or online poker. I tell him that it hurts my feelings that he doesn't want to come out here anymore and he says he just likes to stay home. If we go anywhere he normaly takes a friend of his.. his friend also goes to his house a lot (his friend is a male). He doesn't understand why I get upset and cry sometimes because He doesn't act like he use to.. It just seems like he doesn't love me anymore.. I am having the most difficult time mingling with people I can never get anyone to follow up on dates I set. The most I get to have with a person is a short conversation. But honestly the problem might be me the only thing I really ever enjoyed doing was having sex. I need advice.

Well I must admit that I am a bit boring and dislike trying things im not good at but aren't there other things I can do with other people.

Friday we picked up stepdaughter (s/d) and her boyfriend came to our house until one in the morning watching movies . Saturday s/d went to party with boyfriend for church. She was told to be home at six. She calls at 5:30 and tells dad that she is going back home because her mom said she could stay at the party until ten. S/d comes back to get her things at our house and her father told me to tell her boyfriend to leave because his daughter wasn't leaving....so I did..s/d comes flying through the living room and wasn't yelling at me and trying to push me away from the door to leave. Dad was yelling at her to stop and he grabbed her to restrained her she got away from him and punched me in the face. I called cops, for nothing because s/d got to go to the party and back to her moms. Should I have let the cops arrest her that night? Cops said I could for assualt but dad said no. Her parents are not going to punish her or get her help for her anger. What do I do to help this child?
