I mean, JUST friends, not friends with priveleges or women you secretly want to have sex with so you pretend to be friends with them. I ask because I recently met a man I would like to be friends with, he's really cool and intellectual, but I can't tell if he is interested in more (and I'm married so I won't give more). Is it possible for us to be friends?

No.You are married,This cool, intellectual guy knows this too.If you start a so call friendship with this guy,you will be putting yourself in a position to give more.Because he is going to want more, and depending on how deep you get yourself in this,You will want more as well.

A good question advicemom!(Whats advicemom doing asking questions?)
For many years I truly believed that a guy and girl could NOT be just friends.Example:the movie "When Harry Met Sally"
But this last year I have become friends and friends only with my next door neighbor. We watch movies and shop occasionally and watch each others houses when we're away.
So I would have to say YES,it is possible as long as you've sincerely discussed it and are completely comfortable with the
plutonic relationship.

The majority of my friends are by far women. We actually joke that I would have a hard time getting enough groomsmen for a wedding. But w/my major and job I work w/and around a lot of women. As w/everything I think exposure is the key. Being around women all the time you can't help but develop true friendships. I think that's the difference for me.

I have two best friends. One is a girl, one is a guy. We've been friends for years and love each other as friends only. We started out dating and were together for a few months but have been friends for like 8 years now. We have nothing sexual between us. Just friendship. The thought of getting it on with him would seem just as awkward adn getting it on with my girl best friend. Plus I've got other guy friends I'm not attracted to so yes it's possible but you may want to get your husband involved in teh friendship too since he may get jealous and that is not what you want.

Trust me I'm not lying or bragging. I have been in a zillion relationships. Women are attracted to me for reasons, I have no idea. So I have a lot of experience in that arena.

No man on this earth, except a gay man wants to be "just friends" with a woman unless they are related in some way. Would you want your husband to be "just friends" with a really sex, beautiful woman?

If you can manage the fine line you will be walking. A friendship of this nature can sometimes hurt the other partner worse than a sexual affair.
Good luck!!
