Yes, loving someone implies that you care deeply for them and you place them over most everyone else, but when you're in love with someone, you place thier needs and wants above your own

there is a difference but to be honest with you the feeling of "being in love" never lasts but rather changes into genuine love for someone and that is the strongest love of all.
being in love is the first stages of the relationship. if you are after that type of love then you will find yourself shifting from a partner to a new one every 2 months - 2 years max. that is when the 'passion' goes away. after that 2 years you can tell yourself "i am in love with him" but obviously you (and him too) are not as passionate as you first met. but you can still love each other and care for each and be lovers. but really, that is true love. when you love someone and they love you back just as much.

I believe there's a difference. Being in love with someone is just for a moment. When you love someone thats an eternal feeling u have for that person. Being in love is like another word for lust. In other words i rather have someone love me than be in love with me.

"Passionate love" is defined as a state of intense longing for the union with another and a state of profound physiological arousal. This physiological arousal is also manifested and controlled through the perception of the recipient. All these activities are controlled by cortical activity and translated into speech when the individual is excited.

"Companionate love" is the affection we feel for those with whom our lives are deeply entwined. It is believed that passionate love, based on a human bio-physiological system shared with other primates, is a powerful emotion that can be both blissfully positive (when love is reciprocal) and despairingly negative (when love is unrequited).

Those are the two main types of love.

You love your friends, you love your family. When you're in love the feeling is very different, something that you'll be able to notice and tell. I still love my ex, but I'm no longer IN love with him. When you're in love, you know.

Loving someone is showing respect and concern. Being in love is having a fear of lost of a person. Being in love is somewhat called blind love because there is nothing that wrong that can't become better with effort and work
