My friends won't grow up! I thought high school would shape them up. I am an active member of my school's GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) and suddenly I'm a lesbian and they won't talk to me. And all the guys think I'm a lesbian and no one is interested in me. All my friends are either over the age of 20, are seniors when I'm a freshman or go to different schools. I'm getting tired of this, but I am not backing out of the GSA. Any advice?

i totally forgot good thing our friend told me. she asked me what did you get her. and i said its a surprise but really i didnt get her anything i forgot totally. i really don't know what to get her i don't have time to buy anything thoughful. rosses or whatnot is not really a birthday gift. i'm way busy tomorrow her friend said she was expecting like a night out with her tomorrow i was shocked when i heard that because i'm really really busy tomorrow. i can't not go to work tomorrow because tomorrow is a very important day. i totally forgot about her birtday. what do i do?

i hate this so much. This is probably the MAIN problem I have with me. You wouldnt even believe how much this interferes with my life. I quit school one time because its so bad. It happens without me even thinking about it. its so bad.... i dont know what to do, I feel like I'm doomed....

i was dating this guy for over a year and it was a horrible relationship, death threats, forcing me to do thhings i didnt want to. he was very controling as well and always messed with my feelings. i have a new boyfriend now who has really showed me how i should be treated. but i still cant forget my ex and all the horrible things he did. i live in fear of him and its affecting my current realtionship. what should i do? any advice? i would honestly appreciate it.

Heres the deal my mother never want to be a part of my life or my kids. When i was a child growing up my mother was a jehovah's witness, and i am not, then about 2 years ago she stoped i thought that was the best thing that had ever happen to her boy was i wrong. Now my mother lives above a bar in a tinny room not appartment, drinks every day has no car or licence. I feel so bad for her but at the same time im so mad. I have tryed to tell her how i feel, all it does is start a fight. I call her about 3-4 times a week to make shure she is okay. Do i just stop calling her and maybe she will see what its like? or Do i go on letting her do what she has been doing? This last past 3 years i have gottin out of a bad realition ship, (With someone my mother hated) got married to a good man and had a nother baby, she has missed most of all the important things in my life, the think that bothers me the most is my kids she never askes about them and never wants to watch them. What do i do? HELP

I really know i need to stop being friends with my ex. I spend a lot of time with her and i feel really sad afterwards that I just cant hold her and have her look deep into my eyes and know that she loves me. It wasnt a great relationship and it basically ended mutually. I know she doesnt love me anymore because she gets uncomfortable whenever I mention old times or when I get angry at her (she knows I get angry at her because I cant have her). I do still feel great when Im with her and she makes me happy for the time but then when I get home, the next day I am sad again. I know being a couple with her would never work out again but I still wanna spend time with her and I like to think about kissing her pretty lips just one last time. Basically my question is- Does anyone here have a successful friendship with there ex? And has anyone here tried being friends with there ex and realized that it wouldnt work and now you are over them?

He likes Pet Shop Boys,Depeche Mode and disco music from 80's..There is something in the way he act sometimes, that makes me wonder whether he is gay or not. He also avoids sex with me. We have sex every other weekend. It takes him about 5 minutes...I don’t feel he is attracted to me. We never make love. We just have quick sex sometimes. So I'm 24 yrs old, in my first year in grad school. School is hard and stressful, but I'm anxious about graduating and not being a student anymore (even though graduation is over a year away). It's like I'm afraid of being an adult in the real world. And for some reason, I keep thinking about getting married & having kids and it really scares me. Those things used to seem exciting and important to me, now they just seem scary & I'm not even sure I want to have kids anymore. Just the idea of my life being "settled" scares me. And I've been feeling pretty down about it all lately and just worried my life will suck. I don't know why I think this. Anyone else experience similar feelings?

I just wanted to post this message for all who seen my sister's message about ending her life. On today, she did just as she said she would; she ended her life today. I found her posting this afternoon and read some of the answers that was given. I wish that she had never posted how she felt. In her letter that was left, she stated that people were cruel. People are!
To those who gave her words of wisdom, "Thanks". To those who thought what they said was taken lightly, think twice the next time. I've lost a sister and a friend. She was THE BEST! People really did not know her because she was so quite about her feelings. I'm sorry that she choose this board as an outlet, but as I said, some of the responses were very uplifting. Thanks to all who cared.

for those who seem to not understand, he treats me like a child and the only time he is interested in being sweet is when he wants sex. He makes me feel like im dumb as rocks, the money he provides don't make me happy, and you can be a great father, but thats seperate from the way he treats me.
