Marriage & Divorce - 27 August 2006

My wife and i got married back in Feb of 2006 and she moved here from Minnesota in October of 2005 and she never got her indiana drivers license until June of 2006.
I have heard that you do not become a resident of a state until you and some form of identification from that stae. And the law requires that you have to a resident for 6 months of that state beforee you can file for a divorce. Does anyone know the answer to this?

I am completely in love with my boyfriend. He's 41 and I'm 27. From the start of our relationship we have both known he did not want more children (has one from previous marriage) and that I want to try. (he would get a vasectomy if we got married). We've tried to break up several times in seeing that neither of us will change our minds, but we always come back to each other. I'm so in love that I can't imagine my life without him. But i do want the chance to have a child. But life is funny. I don't want to make the wrong choice. I could stay with the love of my life, and just see if something would happen with kids and figure it out later. Or I could find someone else who wants to have children. But then I might not be able to have children with a new person. I am at a real loss of what to do. If you wanted to have children and ended in a childless marriage how did you deal with it

We have been together for over a year and a half, and lived with him for 8 months. we have been going through some hard financial times and are selling his house. We then were planning to get an apartment together. But last night he talked to me and said he only wanted me to move in with him if it meant us getting married in the future. Then he went on to say that he feels like he is getting older and wants to have more kids soon. (he is about 20 years older than me) I knew the part about the kids and everything. Ive thought about marriage alot in the past but when he was the one said it it really scared me for some reason. He also said that he feels sometimes that I am not attracted to him and that I am in the relationship just to be in one. But I feel the same way about him sometimes. I dont know what to do it has been an EXTREMELY stressful time for us lately and I dont know if that has someting to do with it. But I also suggested couples therapy. Would that help?

My husband and i seperated almost three years ago it was his choice not mine... I love him and and probably always will but i'm not in love with him.
every time i attempt to move on he rings me and says
"you know we should give it another go"
i decided to give it a go as he holds all the cards. but when i do this he does the whole, maybe it wont work.We have no kids but he was my high school sweetheart. i have since got engaged and he came between that with his feel sorry for me attitude.. now i live with another guy and have a new life..

so i finally see that my approach to give my man an ultimatum to get more envolved in the wedding is working. the expense is a feel like crap! however, since my expectations are low, and think that it actually won't be planned in time, it is a relief too. this way, i can stop my controlling pattern, take a step back, and make him realize how stressful it is to plan everything yourself. do you think this is manipulating? it's just that i tried talking to him and he just didn;'t get it. i can wait another year, i think that's a better alternative than getting all flustered up about planning a big event myself! the ideal thing would be to do it together, but i don;t see that happening until he understands it is impossible to do it myself!

I think men respect some women more than others, I would just like to know what kind of qualites makes you really respect a woman? Example, is it how she takes care of physcail self, is it her abitions, is it her condfidence...what makes a woman really respectable in the eyes of a guy, so much so that you want to treat her well.

after years of togetherness and kids? My husbands insecurities and suspicions have led to my NOT having any friends (no even one) and not having any life outside the house and not being able to have a job (he thinks Ill leave or cheat) I am getting EXTREMELY angry with him as I feel I am paying for what all of his other long term gf's did to him (which is cheat on him, mind you he did the same to them) i HAVE NEVER CHEATED EVER, and I am tired of him already, I am only here because we have a kid and I dont have any financial backing to leave.
