Absolutely. I don't know your exact situation, but it definitely paid off for me.
I went to college worked 2 jobs (1 full time, 1 part time) and had 2 children.
I had to do something. I either had to kill myelf working a menial job for the rest of my life or sacrafice just a few years in order to be able to secure a good position in order to support my family.
Now I work in management with a very nice salary. I also have the flexibility to leave work here and there when necessary. If I was still working a crappy minimum wage job I probably wouldn't have the flexibility to go see my son's play at school. But with my job now- it is a salaried position and I can take some time here and there to do what I need to do, so as not to miss those special events.
It was the hardest years of my life juggling all that I did to get to where I am now. But when I think about where I'd probably be if I didn't do it- yuck! I'd probably be working second shift somewhere for $6/hr and trying to figure out where the next meal would come from.
Even though I felt guilty at the time spending all that time away from my kids- it has enabled me to spend good quality time with them now and for the rest of our lives. Now, when we're spending time on their homwork or taking walks I'm not preoccupied with all the things I would be worrying about if we didn't have a stable future.
I say GO FOR IT!!!

Will your efforts be rewarded? It depends on what reward you're looking for. Setting priorities is so hard with kids and a full schedule.
I'm not sure you're talking about being rewarded. I think you're looking for a time where you can actually breath and relax without having so much to do every day. Doing what your doing is hard work, and it takes a toll out on your body.
Kids are always a priority in my life. Although I am driven to succeed financially, my priorities are my kids. I couldn't imagine living life without them.
You wouldn't have kids if it wasn't for your husband. He must be a good man and understanding to help out when he can to take care of the kids.
The light at the end of the tunnel is near. Just make sure your priorities are straight, then the reward will be there a hundred fold.

Yes, your efforts will be rewarded. At the very least you will find a decent paying job. You are setting a wonderful example for your children about higher education and there are more chances they will make a choice to go to college. God forbid, but if anything should happen to your spouse or marriage you will have a degree to fall back on and have a better chance at a good job to support you and your children. This should also give you a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Do you have a dream that you are working for? If so, then what you are doing is the means to an end. The end being reaching your dream and all this will have been worth it. Nothing worth while comes easy in life, and you certainly arent one who takes the easy road to achieve what you want. Just keep your dream in focus, and the world will be yours soon. Keep up the good work and good luck

Oh yes they will. Been there, done that, got the rewards.
My kids have grown up safe and secure. They have a mom who is always there for them and they know the sacrifices it took to give them what they needed.
They learned a great lesson seeing me doing my homework and then going to work. They know you must work hard to get ahead in life.
It is a long tough road, but your rewards will be worth it!

How do you want to be rewarded? If you think the band and the balloons will come out, you'll be disappointed. If you gain self worth and a good paying job...the feeling of self-respect is it's reward.

Hang in there. I know how you feel i'm in the same situation. I will be getting my degree in december. There was SO many times that I thought about quitting it all because it was just too much stress and I felt like I was working so hard for nothing. Keep you chin up. I promise after its all done, it will be all worth it.

Maybe, maybe not. But I'll bet that you will never regret having made the effort! You'll know that you've done your best, and are now a better person than you were....having developed and acquired knowledge and discipline is always of benefit.

Nope! it will be a never-ending struggle to balance work, kids, and marriage, ending in you being completely miserable, broke, and divorced. Isn't reality fun? Good Luck.
