I am a high school student. When everyone else was joining cliques three years ago, I didn't. My best friend is the most popular guy in the grade. He hangs out with the sport people, but I don't. The only cliques in my grade are the sport people, the unpopular people of (truly honestly) questionable sexual orientation, the druggies and the people who are into vehicles. Mostly I hang around with people in upper grades of a mildly popular clique. Most people see me as a bit of a nerd, although I've heard some of my own jokes being quoted a bit by everyone. People from every clique will talk to me, but no more than pleasant conversation. How can I join a clique in my own grade that feels comfortable to me?

We used to be very close together. we share almost everything. until we start to hold hands... things get a bit messy. i think i hurt her feelings by saying that i have always regarded her as my elder sister. She left me not long after, about 2 months later, but not without insulting me, abusing my feelings, telling me that she has gotten herself another man and ask me to pest off. i was peeved definitely. i gave in a 100 %, care and help her in every way. in the end, that's the manner she left me. ya.. and she ask her parents to lie to me that she has flown off to Europe. and ya.. i m an idiot i actually believed. i m devastated.Till one fateful day, i find out the truth and so i went straight to her house to find her. i wanted so much to say i m sorry about perhaps hurting her feelings and getting an answer from her.
in the end it turns out very wrong, now she has lodged a legal complaint on me accusing me of harassment. looking her up will be so wrong. what should i do?

ok here is the situation.girlfriend and i moved at the end of july. so we got a bill from the electrc and gas co of $730. that 700 is due from the old address. the bill was in her name and we just transferred services. now i was afraid that our service would get shut off. so i requested new service in my name starting the 27th., they didnt ask anything about a previous tenant at all. (they cant deny anyone service is what they told me). now im afraid that my bill is gonna be sky high. so i was thinking that maybe my g/f should ask them about payment arrangements. because she gets assistance and i don't. however, im wondering if they are gonna ask her who is living in the house(which i am) and since we have a totally diff income. she wont get that discount. they said for me to get new service i have to pay a 380 deposit because i wanted new service i didnt request to just transer in my name. should i just keep the service in my name or cancel mines and leave it in her name.

I am a student and take private tuition.My teacher is a boy of my age. Generally he is good.I have a girlfriend named purbita. My teacher arindam also likes her. ok, so there are these 2 girls, and we were all new last year. the 3 of us. and we were all sort of bitchy to everyone in our classes, (bad move, of course) and now i stopped being friends with them before summer started. they wanted to annoy me for dissing them, so they prank called me like, 3000 times, until i started ignoring them instead of answering and coming up with alot better comebacks than theirs. now, one of them, is in all of my classes save for 2. the other one is in 3 or 4. it's really annoying, and i really just want to stop hating them, because it's alot harder to do than like someone, but they don't seem to be making any move towards trying to be nicer. any ideas on what to do? and if you suggest talking to them about it or being polite in the hallways, ill cybersmack you. i've already thought of that, it doesnt work.

& that your "friends" are so because they either feel sorry for you, or know that your a good person even though they can't stand you much?
When I talk to people, they always seem to be the ones to get up & walk away after a few minutes.
I know I have psychological issues about it cos as a child, if I met a new friend, my mother always told me not to worry if they didn't end up liking me, or that they were probably just using me for some reason. I know she did that cos she felt she was protecting me but it has left a lasting impression where I find it difficult to believe that anyone really likes me.
The problem is, although I know that, it still always looks like people want to get away from me, end a conversation early, or look like they are just humouring me because they think it's rude to just leave prematurely.
Everyone has a "friend" who is irratating who you want to avoid...could I be one of those people?

Ok so after I graduated from high school in summer 2007, i got facebook since many college students use it. ok so I met this girl on it because she added me. We told each other jokes, stories, and chat. We seemed to have fun. Well we were anxious to meet since we are going to the same college. =) Anyways when I met her she was all dull and quiet. I talked and walked her to the humanities building. Later on I didn't follow her up the elevator and it seemed as tho she wanted me to join in but I didn't want to bother her. So I found out that she got mad over me not walking her to class... hey I walked her to the building and build the conversation the whole time... Shes still mad at me...and its been a week. My boyfriend got into my purse and used my cell phone without my knowledge. He has one of his own but used mine to make an annoymous text message to his former Boss. Stating that he should take a close look at the employee who works for him. This person took over his position. And boyfriend has been bitter ever since. The boss traced the number back to my other boyfriend and said he was contacting his attorney and HR> people. My other boyfriend hasn't a clue yet what's going on. He is also an attorney. The one who did it has taken off leaving me holding the bag. Anyone with suggestions. Please hurry. I am a wreck right now. I did nothing wrong to anyone. I am really upset.

Ok so im in class right, I show him my drawing he says "So why WHY are these stars here?" and I said because thats where I put them and he says "But why John? Why WHY?" and so I go redo it but class is over and when I get my stuff out of my locker, sunset is approaching when i leave class and when I start walking home I hear this "BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" AND ITS THE ART TEACHER!!!!!

He chased me 10 miles to my house with a giant branch that is really sharp! I mean its like he wasnt looking at me to his eyes were wide open laughing THE WHOLE TEN MILES LAUGHING AND TRYING TO ATTACK ME!

He ran so fast I couldn't get my car when I got out of the building and when i got up to my apartment he was 2 feet away when I shut it his hand was in the door and he yelled "AAAARGGH" and he pulled it out, and he has been standing in front of my door with his eye in the peep hole for about 3 hours now, not moved an inch, I have no phone and I am so damn scared I blocked all my windows?

My best friend/cousin got arrested for something serious and now he is no more in my life. Someone I used to call everyday is gone (he lived in Florida while I live in Illinois) and he was the only person I called on such a frequent basis. Now I hear from him once a week if that and he is no longer the partier/womanizer that he once was.

Not to mention one of my best friends from childhood died a couple years ago.

How does one deal with the loss of people that were significant in their lives? I now have nobody that has been 'tenured' in my life for so long (since i was in preschool).

I have alot of "friends"...but I can count on one hand the amount of them that I can call my "true friend"...someone who is always there for me, and have my best interest at heart...and likes some of the many things that I do...but I don't really know how to befriend a girl...without them thinking...I'm gay!!! There is a girl at work I used to be friends with but I withdrew myself because I found out that she has been using not only me but everyone who crosses her path. I had been avoiding for about a year now. Just speaking to her casually. I decided to go back to school this fall. Lo and behold! there she was in my class. Any how, we decided to talk because there is a group presentation coming up. The required text was unavailable for about a week now. It came into the bookstore on friday. Now she and her friend want to photocopy my text ($66) and pay me ($30) so she would only pay ($15). Seems like a deal but I am just pissed because I saw it coming......I knew that as soon as I got close to her she was gonna start asking for favours. How do I handle this without causing a conflict? I just want to get through the semester without any tension.

My best friend and I have been friends since our senior year of high school which was about 4 years ago. Since then we have been through thick and thin, mainly his problems. Well I live 1000 miles away during the school year because of where my college is. This past summer my friend and I spent everyday together and had sooo much fun. Recently, upon coming to school I went through a rough time and really needed my best friend. He was just plain and simple not there for me. He said he is "really busy all the time" and has a lot of things on his mind. Now he has no idea why I am upset at him and refuses to communicate, telling me he has to go every time I bring it up. Is it time to just end the friendship and go on? I feel like he is just a fair weather friend. (PS he also has been in love with me but its never really been a problem before, and baffles me even more as to why he would treat me like this)
