She is running us kids off, she is disrepectful and is taking advantage of him finanial and physically. We are a very close family and dad isn't seeing what we are. She wants him to herself totally. My husband is going to have some hip surgery at the end of this month or the beginning of next month. His recovery time is estimated to be around 6 weeks and luckily he'll be able to work since he sits down at his job. How can we organize our home life to make household chores and life in general easier on the both of us. We have a 9 mos. old daughter and a large dog to care for as well. My mother and some of his family will try to come over when they can to help out but I'd like to go ahead and get organized and prepared so things won't be nearly as crazy after his surgery. We went through a short time where for about 2 weeks when he first injured his hip and he couldn't help out with anything at home and I nearly lost it and we fought a lot...I'd like to prevent that from happening if it's possible. I know it's going to be rough and I'm not expecting it to be easy, I'd just like some tips/advice on how to make things a little bit easier for us. Thanks.

I'm 15 years old. I have a 16 year old brother and a 9 year old sister. We've recently been placed into a foster home. Sometime this week, we're supposed to be placed with our grandparents. But my grandfather doesn't want my brother because of all the trouble he's gotten into. I love my brother and don't want to be split up from him. What should we do? How can we work this out? I promised my mom that I wouldn't let them split us up, but I don't really have any say in the matter. What should I do though? Please I need some real advice.

I have been married since 10years.At the beginning of my marriage I stayed with my mother in law as joint family, then we had misunderstanding and I went separately. 1year back my father in law died and now my mother in law is with me. My husband doesn’t want his mother to be alone. I have one brother in law he ignored my mother in law completely. Now my problem is I don’t want to face her. I hate my mother in law when I saw her face I remembered the things what she done earlier to me. Sometimes I feel like slapping her. I don’t have any other option. Because she doesn’t have any option she is with me and acting that she loves my family. What can I do now? Give me some solution.

here's the problem. 4 years ago my mom died. 2 years after that my dad has a girlfriend. and of course i want him to be happy. but thats not the problem. the problem is that since they got together she has been always tryna tell my little brother wat to do. im in a group home now and i aint home to be there for my lil bruh. i hate my stepmom and i always wanted to tell her how i feel. not in a disrespectful way. i just dont look at her side of the family bein being family to me. i dont do the step family thing at all. my dad and my stepmom want us to be a big happy family n im like no cuz this aint the brady brunch. baisclly i don't like that we gotta be around them when they together. cuz when i seethem hugging and kissing it hurts ya know cuz i miss my mom. when i get out of here in two months ima tel her how i feel. but would it be wrong to tell her that i dont care bout her and my dad's relationship. i dont wanna hurt anyone's feelings.

Due to past consequenses my wife treats my stepson like an 8 yr old and he's 16. I try to teach him facts of life and how he has to earn his way but 90% of the time all I get is grief. He sits in his bedroom, very rarely helps with chores and if I say anything a row starts. Even if I can get him to do something it's done halfway and I have to redo it. He finds every excuse in the book to try to weasel out of it. She gives him nearly anything he wants and I tell her she's losing any respect he might ever have had for her. She had an operation recently and not once did he ask how she was doing or went to visit. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can remedy this problem?

This weekend was a total bust for me. Sat I got up and cooked breakfast, cleaned up after wards, cooked lunch, cleaned after words, cooked dinner, cleaned afterwords. My family made me so mad. Here I am cooking and cleaning all day while they play in the beautiful sunshine. On Sunday I woke up and said eat cerial Im not cooking. Well, my 6 year old started to cry cause she wanted pancakes and my 9 yr old was like I don't like cerial and my bf was like fine, so everyone make their own food, but left the mess for me. I screamed at them and said "CLEAN UP YOUR MESS, IM NOT DOING IT".

What can I do to get more help around the house. I ask and ask but I feel like all I do is yell. I work 40+ hours a week and my bf owns his own company so he works allot too. I have chores for the kids to do, but I feel like im constantly yelling at everyone. Weekends are the only time I actually have to relax and don't want to cook and clean by myself.

Any thoughts on how to change this?

NOTE: This question has been posted under Health-General and Family & Relationships: Singles and Dating. Just trying to get a whole bunch and variety of answers.

My girlfriend and I had a debate recently. And we are curious what the general public would say.

a) Would you break up with someone if they couldn't have kids?

b) What if they knew they couldn't have kids and concealed it from you for a number of years?

c) Do you think people who know they can't have kids should come right out in the beginning of a relationship and tell the other person?

Of course my gf and I have very different views on this subject and one of us believes that the answers to these questions would be the norm among most people. Please answer these questions not "philosophically" but how you actually feel.

Also remember it goes both ways... guys would you break up w/ a girl if she couldn't have kids... and girls would you break up w/ a guy if he couldn't have kids?

My sister told me that our mother told her husband that for the first 7 years of my parents marriage that she wasn't totally faithful to our father. Now she is quite upset at our mother because we have always looked up to our parents relationship and applied their greatness to our own marriages. From what I understand she never had sex with any of these other men but did some heavy petting. If you found out through your significant other that one or both of your parents weren't totally faithful how would it change your preception of your parents?

i have been working at the same daycare for about 3 years now, i havent got a raise in forever, and i make the same as anyone. well my daughter has been sick lately, she also goes to the daycare i work at, and i have missed 2 days last week to stay home with her because she was really sick, and then friday i get ready to leave for work and my car wont start, i couldnt get a ride in to work until 10 but i called and explained to my boss, then over the weekend when i thought my car was fixed it wouldnt start yesterday, so it is being fixed right now, i didnt have a way to get to work so i called in, i called in kind of late because i was up late with my daughter, my boss son, not my boss, her son who works there and is considered "in charge" answers and starts yelling at me, saying i miss all this work and i miss every other day and i explain to him about my car and he is like if u are a minute late, and i mean just a minute, dont come in,
does this sound fair to you????

We've outgrown our house in Houston suburbia and can't decide whether to stay in the same area or explore new frontiers. I'm a graphic designer and my husband is a construction project manager. We have 3 kids ages 8, 3, & 10 months. I would love somewhere with lots of action, mild climate, and every amenity. I am really inclined to go somewhere new but don't want to go in blind and wind up hating it. What is a good strategy here? (aside from paying thousands to visit every city on my wish list) Thanks :)

My eldest brother is renting us out a beat up townhouse that he really needed off his back. Now he says we owe him half of January's rent when we didn't even move in until february. My other brother lived here before and trashed it. We are not very close, (16 years age difference) and my husband keeps telling me he won't pay it. I don't work, so i'm wondering if anyone has ever dealt with this, or knows how I should adress it. ( Everyone else in my family is in some way indebted to him, but I never was until now.)

When I was born, my paternal grandmother asked my parents to take care of me, and since at the time my parents had just started their business, they agreed to let her take care of me temporarily. After one year, my parents' financial situation got so much better that they felt it was time to take me back. But my grandmother didn't want to let me go, she was a mean unhappy selfish woman, she hated her husband, she had no friends, and she felt her children didn't love her, so when I was born she saw me as the thing to fill the hole in her life. She threatened my parents that she would kill herself if I was taken away from her, so my parents let her keep me even though they both knew what she was like. I had the most terrible childhood. I wasn't physically abused, but I was mentally and emotionally. My grandmother would tell me that the reason I was with her was because my parents didn't want me. She would tell me to beat my younger brothers or yelled back at my parents,
