She used to date Gordon Lightfoot way back when so I suggested he make some GL CD's or invite Gordon to come visit her...lol. We can't plan anything for next weekend because we have a wedding to go to so anything we do for her has to be Thursday.

I took my children and moved to Florida,I have fought desperately just to survive in this state,I am to the point now that I cant even afford to get back home,I am not one to ask for help but I am at the end of my rope here.For months it has been sorrow and pain no matter how hard I try just for us to exist,can anyone out there help and to those that only provide wise cracks,I am already as low as it can get so please dont add to the pain of my family

that's what makes our life so hard.
when something walks out from our life, that's the only moment when we become aware of what we had.

seems like we live in our dream of happiness all the time, and these, broken-up connections sometimes wake us.

now, i'm leaving my home, and my family. and there's only one thing thats on my mind. i need to be sure that they will be safe.
who knows what's waiting for me. but i know that there's one thing that's above my life. its them.
am i just suposed to stay tough, as i used to be? am i suposed to carry on telling them that their worries are so minor and that this voyage is nothing, though i'll come back in december.
in the end, seems like i'm the one who's acting like that.

how am i suposed to carry on, when being so deeply desperate about everything. i dont express it, i hardly speak to anyone about this.
just, have a feeling that i've never been much close to my family. now, like every good thing is showing its sad one...

she is gf 19 of my son 20.we'll call her Tina. i allowed her to move in, which was a mistake but i felt sorry for her because i was told she had no place to go. her aunt who had guardianship of her kicked her out. father is dead and i was told mom is a druggy and had no room for her. 5 months later she is pregnant. everyone is told by her to not say anything to anyone about it, not even her bestfriend because it would get back to her mother. supposedly she hasn't lived with her mom for yrs and didn't even get a call from her on her birthday or Christmas. mom lives close by too.
she started looking for work unsucessfully until all of a sudden her mom starts calling and telling her she can come work with her...like mom KNOWS she really needs help. my other son let it slip to her bestfriend that she was pregnant. she found out and cried for 2 hrs. she then went into a rage over the slip. i asked the father to be why was she so upset about it she should be happy and confident and that they were going to find out anyway. he and Tina just say cause her mom is a *****. they got the first sonagram the other day and the day after dear ole mom called to say they had a VCR for her to borrow and asked me if she had went to her doc appointment. i was stunned at her words and how casual she said it. why would Tina lie about her mom knowing the situation. Tina came in from work and i told her, her mom called and told her she asked about her appointment just to see her reaction and she disn't say a word. heres another tid bit. her mom has been lying to the government in order to get medicaid and food stamps. they did not report the fact Tina has moved out or something because she is still getting medicaid. Tina and my son are both working and i tried to tell them both that the medicaid would prb get cut out because of their income. Tina says "oh no they won't cause blah blah blah" and you can't tell her anything. whats going on here?
am i being used or do you think my son is fixing to get the shaft, because when the baby gets here she can get a lot of help...apartment, food stamps, child support.
don't get me wrong i am happy about the baby but i smell a little rat. i wonder if she is telling me one thing and her mom another. should i talk to the mom and break her trust. think about it she is living here free and we have paid insurance etc... to help her out. she is sweet but she has another side too her that is pretty calculating. what do you think?

She's a good kid. She's almost fifteen years old. Her mother and I have a promising relationship. Her mother is expressing a need for me to become more involved with her daughter who doesn't really have a father figure in her life. I have no children of my own. I don't have any plans to have children. I am interested in pursuing a relationship with her mother which, of course, means that I will become a central male figure in this young girl's life. I need ideas, ways to express interest that don't come off as overbearing or creepy. The girl likes me and we are developing an emotional attachment as we participate in activities with her mom. I have never had to be a dad. She does need guidance and understanding. She is a typical teen in that she has a hard time getting out of bed and doing household chores. She is also exceptionally pretty, tall and lean, bright eyed and long haired just like her mother. She is not naive. She has a great relationship with her mom. How to be a dad?

My mom let me have an open house at my shore house with all my college friends last week. There was alot of girls and guys that showed up that I dident know. My mom know alot of my friends and was just hanging around drinking with us,,, she always does its not a big deal. Later that night I was walking through my back hallway and in one of the bedrooms I saw my mom getting with some guy i dident know. I just saw them like hooking up but ... its my mom! My sis was in town last weekend(shes divorced no kids) and since im single i invited her to stay with me. She had a few drinks then starts sharing details of her and her ex's sex life. Of course i politely listened. I excused myself to go pee and didnt bother locking the door. She let herself in the bathroom to my surprise and when i asked her what she was doing she said "geez like ive never seen your penis before" We had seen each other naked before and it never seemed like a big deal since we were quite close as teenagers and seeing each other undressed was pretty routine. Well i finished my business as she watched..went back to the living room and sat down while she laid down on the couch and eventually went to sleep. Next morning she was in the kitchen nursing a hangover when i woke up..wearing the same clothes she slept in except now she was barefoot. She apologized for the nite before at the same time saying how cute i looked with my thing hanging out. Shes coming back tonite.

Ok, my mom tends to drink occasionally on her days off. I wouldn't mind except so far she's downed eight beers in roughly five hours and there's no sign of stopping.

She drinks her self into a angry stupor, will start to cry, she accuses my siblings and I of hating and not appreciating her, and she calls all her friends and loudly complains about how terrible we are to her. I really love my mom and I don't take advantage of her like she says (I do laundry, clean around the house, take care of our pets, and look after my younger siblings when she's working, I even give her money I get from babysitting and cleaning a church when she's short).

I try to talk to her but she'll say that she's 49 years old and on her day off is entitled to relax how she wants and I need to get off her case and stop telling her what to do. She has a point but I want to spend time with her, not hide in my room from her! What can I do?

I'm 16, by the way.

My 14 yr old daughter put a rubber band around the kitchen sink sprayer and when I turned it on I didn’t notice and got soaked. So this morning I had the binoculars, pretending to look at something out the back window. When she was on her way out to wait for the school bus she asked what I was looking at. I said take a look. So she did. The thing is I had put graphite around the eye lenses. She said, “I don’t see anything.”
I said, “Fox squirrel; it must have went up the tree.” Was I wrong to let her get on the bus with the circles around her eyes?

I have a husband and three boys. 17, 13, and 10. not a one of them can aim wortha t d*** if you know what I mean and they all have the attitude get off my back and leave me alone, I am stuck in this messy house. If I do the cleaning I don't teach them how to do it. if I make them do it it looks like crap.
