I am 16 and female. My Mum, Dad and brother have seen me nude often (going to and from the bathroom of a morning - I sleep nude). No biggie. But my friend's Dad walked in on her accidently yesterday and she totally freaked out. Who's reaction is more normal, mine or my friends?

My mother isn't exactly happy being married to my father. Understandable, he's a very difficult man. But she has this fierce will to still do everything she wants to do and so over the years our house has turned into a place of lies, cover-ups etc. She's had affairs and I now have indication that the last one is either not over or she's obsessing over it completely.
A few years ago I could deal with it, she had her secrets and it didn't concern me too much, again I can see how difficult my dad is. But lately she's printing off her emails like she's hoping to get caught. She drinks way too much and is fast asleep either all afternoon or by seven in the evening. She shows no respect for my pc, smoking and drinking over it (she's ruined the keyboard before) and acts like a sullen teenager when I ask her to pay attention. The floor of her room is littered with spilled wine and glasses she's broken 'by accident'. She's scatty to an extreme, I'm finding it hard not to just scream at her.

The question may sound stupid, but not if ur biracial & was raised primarily in a multiracial neighborhood. My dad's Chinese mom's Indian, but it seems as though he's really keen for us to speak & fully utilize Chinese & Chiense customs, which can be very stressful. It seems like he's forgetting his wife is Indian. I know he means well, but how do I gently remind him that 'dad, I'm also half Indian, u know!' He sometimes can boast about how great & marvellous the Chinese is which really upsets me. He loves & accepts Indian culture (esp. his favorite Indian cuisine) but he wants us to be a 'well-rounded' Chiense first.

I think its stupid. I know he means well but i'm just so sick of him thinking about himself, his race, his culture & all that. Thank God he's not a Buddhist (Christian, like my mom), or my life will be like hell. How do i say, "dad, i really wanna learn more about India & Indian culture"? My mom doesnt seem to be bothered a bit

I haven't seen my dad since my 13th birthday when he got custody of my little sister...now I'm 21 and haven't seen him since.
He told me 2 days before my 13th birthday that he didn't want to see me anymore and that I wasn't his. He said this because I ran away from his house via bicycle 18 miles in 98 degree heat, because I didn't want to live with him. He was a drug abuser, alcoholic, and my dad. He didn't have custody of us in the first place, I actually lived with my mom, but me and my sister went to his house on the weekends for visitation (I'm getting mad and depressed just thinking of this). It's been 8 years and 13 days since I've last seen him. I'm everything he isn't, and I'd just like him to see that and make him see what he's missed the past 8 years.
