Family - July 2006

I was explaining this to my step mother; telling her that I'm feeling guilty coz my love for her is almost amounting to the love i have for my real mother, but she couldn't understand my theory of people loving their mothers more than anybody else in the world.
So, am i the only one who holds their mother on a pedestal? Is it bad to do so?

If parents are not willing to allow their daughter to get married to the boy she loves due to his low financial status, will it be right for a girl to take up a step as to leave her parents whom she loves very much and who have taken lot of pain for her.

My stepchildren send us e-amils that say f**k you in them at least a dozen times and I am really getting tired of this. One is 21 the other is 17 i think they should some how be heald accountable for their actions.

This is a follow on from my previouse question.My partner and I have split up and are trying to make arrangements for our 2 year old son.Neither of us has behaved badly towards one another we just dont get on but my ex is an excellent father.I am prepared to be fairly flexible regarding access to my son but I do think we need to establish a routine for him,and I dont want my ex just turning up when he feels like it without prior notice.Is this acceptable?

One of my friends say that his mom told him to put some sodas in the refridgerator away, but he never heard her said it, he went away and rode a bike for a while, and then returned to his house, then his mom was saying "I told you to put the sodas away in the refridgerator" but she didnt say it that mean, and then he says "Okay, I'm sorry, I'll do it now" and then he goes up there and his mom is just saying things to him and then they argue and he yells that hes puttting it away, and while he is sitting down his mother slaps him on the head about 3 times, and says "wanna back talk me again" and he yells "no" and she slaps him on the head again(these were hard slaps). And him and his dad were arguing once and he was on the bike, and they argued, and my friend through a rock lighty at him, and then his dad got really pissed and tried to push him off the bike really hard(his dad was running really fast to get him, but he got away on his bike at the last second. Are any of these abuse?

My ex partner and I have recently split up and are now trying to arrange support for our son.My ex has gone back to live with his parents who are not asking him to contribute financial whilst he is with them.The only outgoings he has are for his car and its insurance.
We would like to come to an arrangement between ourselves regarding financial support for our son.What do you think would be a reasonable amount per month to ask for?

the relationship with my mom is like cat and mouse and obviously me being the mouse. she is always angry with me for one reason or another even if its something very minor like not putting my glass in the kitchen after drinking milk. she is divorced and remarried and i am currently living with my mom ans step dad. my step dad is really sweet. he doesnt take anyone's side in an arguments that we have...but if once in a blue moon he does have to choose he chooses my mom over me knowing that fact that she's wrong half the time. things are just getting worse and worse. i seriously want to move out but being an indian living in india its considered "a sin" to do that. any thing...ANYTHING i can do to make my relationship better with her. seriously i would do anything...and please dont tell me about talking to her about it cos i have done it some many times but that only works for a few days only.

He is 4 years old and wets the bed 2-3 times a week. I am not sure of how hotels deal with bed wetters. Should I pack bed pads (I'm afraid to lose them in the laundry). Or do I force him to wear pull ups (like a baby).

I have a family of seven and only one income and we are having problems finding things to do in oklahoma that we can afford to do with the kids. All we do now is go to the grocery store and play board games at home. We need some help finding things outside that house to go that will not break our wallet. please help I have run out of ideas. that we can all do we have small children.

I talked to my sons father the other day and told him that his son needed some clothes. He told me that I shouldn't ask him for anything for his son because he sends me child support every month.I don't call him regularly and ask him to do things for his son it is very rarely. I fell that if his son is need and I am unable to provide I should be able to ask his father for help. How do you see it.
