I was explaining this to my step mother; telling her that I'm feeling guilty coz my love for her is almost amounting to the love i have for my real mother, but she couldn't understand my theory of people loving their mothers more than anybody else in the world.
So, am i the only one who holds their mother on a pedestal? Is it bad to do so?

It is never Bad to love your Mother, and you must appreciate her a great deal.You are a rare gem, and I bet your Mom knows what a jewel she has.(tell her how much you love her while you can) one more thing.. DO NOT CHANGE.....

Religious or not religious your feelings about mother is very good. There is a mother behind a successful person. Before birth it is mother who takes care of us when we are not yet born. And after birth our mother takes care of us. Regardless time. And when we grown up we start talking and complaining about her.
Shouldn't we love her? ask yourself who ever read this.
Note* I am not talking about some exceptional over reacted mothers. I am talking about real kind mothers.
I wish your step mother could understand your feelings. It is not bad to do so keep it up.

A mother is someone who loves us without any expectation. I love my mother more than anything in this world. I try my best to give her all happiness in this world but still i feel i have not done enough. You just cant compensate for what she does for you.

Apparently you had a very good and loving mother and you are proud of her. There is certainly nothing wrong with the love you feel for your mother.
Too bad everyone can't have a mother like yours!

I love my mother more than anything in the world. If I would lose my mother today I don't think I could handle it.

it may be a good thing as long as you remember you are always with the person that loves you the most, care for you the most and wil be with you for eternity, you yourself.
Then you can realize love is in the air because you are never going to be alone or helpless, and you will feel love for everyone, ´cause you can see everyone is beatiful in his own way.

I don't think that is unusual, I love my mom very much. I think her being your one provider and nuturing influence def. made your bond stronger.
