Fathers will love you no matter what. but you could maybe cook something nice to him yourselves, and maybe with a nice cake, at home, and give him maybe a nice watch or a nice perfume (I know fathers love perfume, mine did). Or take him to a nice restaurant, maybe in family, or maybe also invite some of his closest friends. And give him the gift when you get home. No matter what you do though, he'll be thrilled about the fact that you thought of him, and did all that JUST FOR HIM.

Fathers always love you no matter what. But they seldom get the "I LOVE YOU" back. A tight HUG and THE THREE WORDS should do the trick. Do this early in the morning. Then you can call all his present and long lost friends home for a cup of tea. Also if you don't have a fight with your mom he will have to be twins to take so much happiness in a single day. You can also MAKE a gift for him. Handmade gifts are very dear to everybody. A greeting card or a collection of photos of you both will make him happy.

my parents had a tradition of getting together with thier friends and instead of a cake they would get a honey bun and put candles on it and then split it between all of their friends, it was always a fun way to celebrate. So on my dad's 50th, i went to his favorite bar and decorated it for a little 50th party, and a honey bun as the cake. so find out if your parents have any kind of ritual like that, that they have always done and try to incorporate that into a birthday gift for him. its a lot of fun

get all family and his best buddies to go to a restaurant for dinner. Throw a party there. Cake, candles, hats, balloons and all that jazz. Make a CD with his kind of music and play if for him. Get a nice slow song that he likes and ask him to dance. When you're dancing say " happy Birthday daddy, you are the best".

it is a little hard to do extra-special with only 1 day.
What if every body got together and did all the chores he hasn't been able to get to, or really made the front and back yard look good, or organize the basement?
then lemonade and ice cream cake for everyone.
i know -- it has no charm, but you only have a day!!

AND TAKE HIM OUT FOR A NICE FAMILY DINNER AND GET HIM A CAKE AND TAKE THE CAKE AND SCRAPBOOK THERE AND HAVE THE WHOLE FAMILY AROUND. I'VE FOUND THAT, THAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN THE GIFT ANYWAY!!GOOD LUCK!! TANYA
