My younger brother is a minister - in every conversation, he talks about the Bible and God. He can’t hold a real conversation about life here on earth. We were born and raised in church and I have a personal relationship with God – I enjoy his conversations. The problem I have is he’s engaged to be married in this fall, his soon to be wife is moving in with him very soon. This is considered shacking and we know when you live together you sleep together. Should I say something or just keep my big mouth closed?

The 3 first names are my first and middle names, 4th name is my last name. The last two names are what I would name my kids. I didn't know what category 2 put this in.

I heard that they leave their parents house at 18 or something and live alone or with b./g. friend. This is not the case in our country. people live with their parents so that they can take care of them. I never imagine living separate from my family.

My girls are in alot of activites, they dance ( since they were 3) they are now 10 and 8 and very good i might add.
My 10 yr old is a cheerleader, Student council rep, dance instuctor asst and HONOR ROLL studnet. ( and has NEVER been in trouble at school)
My 8 yr old, just started playing baseball, ( with the boys) and found out to be a good player. She even made the all star team. She dances also, plays basketball and is also an HONOR ROLL Student.( NO BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS EITHER) and believe it or not she is all girl,in a boys body.

I keep them encouraged and in activites.
Dad doesn seem to want to be a part and that is fine, not is flexible with times that i can meet him when the kids activites conflicts.
Thus making the kids decided what they want to do. I refuse for them to decide and i make the decisions, and of course the decisions are FOR THE KIDS ALWAYS. despite how tired i am of running everyone to practices.

Do you see a difference between Northern and Southern names for Grandparents?
My family is from the south...
My maternal grandparents - Granny and Paw-Paw
My paternal grandparents - Nana and Grandpaw or Bumper - the first grandchild chose that name and so we all called him Bumper.
My husband's mom is from the north and her parents are known by the grandchildren as Gram-ma and Gram-pa.
Hubby's dad is from the south and his parents are known as
Granny and Pa.
I think the most unusual grandparent names I've ever heard(more so than my "Bumper" for my grandfather) are what my cousins kids call my Aunt and Uncle. It started when one cousin was dating a lady (who he later married) with 2 young daughters, and they asked one day while visiting what they could call my Aunt and Uncle. My Aunt came up with Queen and King and the girls would be the princesses. So now all of her grandchildren call them King and Queen.

My children, wife, and I attended a July 4th party at my brother-in-laws (BILs) house. There were about 60 people at the party and it started at 1 PM and ended at 11 PM. It was a long day and drinking was was one of the main themes along with swimming in their pool and other games and much food.

However, about 9 PM my other BIL was pretty drunk and got in the hot tub. My wife was walking by and he asked her to get him a drink and to come in the hot tub with her. She did and they continued to talk and drink for about a half hour. They were pretty close which did not make me too happy. His wife soon got in the hot tub between them and I went and played darts for about an hour.

She came inside later after getting dressed and I let her know that I did not want her near him when he is drunk to that degree. She became upset at me because she was drunk and refused to talk about it further. This made me believe there is something going on because she did not simply laugh it off

I'm 24 and my sister is 22, she is getting married in a month and asked me if my 3 year old could be her ring bearer. I said " No, I do not want my son anywhere near you. You are a bad person, and I am not going to spend the money to rent a car, drive 6 hours, get a hotel so that I can leave my son in someone's hands to be your ring bearer." I told her that I was not going to her wedding and she insisted that he be there. I hate my sister. She is a horrible person. She has run away from home 6 times, I let her live with me twice and she left me with huge bills and made me choose her or a BF because he hated her. She's had sex with more than 20 people, has been pregnant 6 and has aborted 4 babies ( lost the other 2 to STD's), has accused our step-father of sexual abuse and physical abuse. Has made my mother cry more times than I can count... and I hate her. Am I wrong to A) not go to her wedding or let my son be her bearer and B) not let her near him?

We all know that parenting is the most difficult job on earth and the precious little darlings don't come with instruction books. Therefore it stands to reason that we will all screw it up now and then. How badly have you screwed it up?? Maybe we can learn a little something from each other.

i have a friend whose step daughters are coming over with tooth aches and they haven't been to the dentist in years. they are only in middle school and their teeth are rotting out! regardless of how many times my friend and her husband ask the mother to take them or to give then the insurance cards so they can take the girls she refuses. the husband does not yet have insureance and to take them without would be thousands of dollars that they don't have. should i report the mother?

He has chosen to not excerise his visition. Better yet his current wife has set that. He has visitation every other weekend, all holidays, spring break and long weekends that include teacher workdays, etc. He doesnt get them at all ANYMORE. But he goes to the school to see them, thus pulling them out of class. This is unacceptable and upsets the hell out of me. He can get them when ever he wants to. ( I need the break)
I took his *** off the registration forms at the school and informed the priniciple that this is to NEVER happen again.
Should I take this issue back to court.

He is obvioulsy ''sneaking" behind his wife to do this.
This is disruptive and

I was married 8 yrs and had 2 children. My daughter was 2 when I met my new wife. We've been married for 10 yrs now. My daughter is 14. Around 3 years ago, my daughter started acting strange and then my ex said that my daughter only wants to spend time with you. When I confronted my daughter, she said she was told not to like my wife. What is up with this stereotyping of step parenting? I want them to be close again but I think it may be too late. HELP!

My daughter headed off to college last year but when she came back, she had started drinking and smoking. In the past 7 weeks since school has been out, she moved in with her aunt, skipped out on her without paying her bills and leaving all of her stuff there. She since went back, ripped off her aunt's stereo and dvd collection. Her appearance has changed to where her face is really bloated and reddish albeit her weight has decreased somewhat. Her attitude went from being friendly and social to being very anti social and dark. She is all about the concept of "doom" now and has a myspace page where she proclaims it. Any suggestions on how I can help her or if it sounds like she is on drugs? On a side note, I live 1500 miles away from her. Thanks.

This woman is f**king crazy. Let me first say that when he started dating her, i was in the process of moving out of state. Six months later i moved and was gone nearly 2 1/2 years. When i returned during the summer and obtained employment back home and she found out , she lost her mind. Now before when i lived out of state and i would call my x (regarding the kids), we both we respectful and cordial to each other, not alot of conservations besides greeting's and thank you's.
It has been hell every sense, when i call the house she demands i speak to her, she never put him on the phone or for that matter gives him the message. The obligations that we have to these kids are being dealt with with her right in the middle and i aint going there, I REFUSE TO DEAL WITH her.
He is a constant battle and with this situation.

When the kids call, they dont answer, they dont return calls or anything.
I run my show and will not allow another woman to dictate and control my enviorment.

When we broke up. I moved on and eventually married and had a son. ( We have 2 girls together). I then moved out the state for 2 years ( he knew where we were and the girls stayed in contact). He didnt like the fact I moved but it wasnt for him to like.
He is now married. Before ''she'' came along, after our breakup, he literally got the kids EVERY weekend, came to see them before he went to work at night ( which used to bug the hell out of me), but the girls looked forward to it so i just grined and beared it. He bought for them (in addition to child support). He pretty much did right by them in every way possible.
Now during all of this, he dated other women and I met them and NEVER had any problems with them at all, until this ''creature'' he got now came along.
When i returned from out of state and they found out i was here to stay and not visiting, his wife went ballistic. Now he ceased visitation and he doesnt return thier calls.
I
