A few family members of mine suffer from alcoholism *some recovering alcoholics and some raging drunks* and i'd rather just help them avoid the temptation all together, and I don't want any drunken scenes at the wedding.. Some ppl have told me it's not normal to have a wedding w/o drinks. What do readers think? Thanks for the answers

My parents have been married for 24 years. About 3 months ago, they announced that they were going to be taking a break. My dad had told me repeatedly during this time that he wants to reconcile.

Within the last 2 or 3 weeks, my dad has been spending alot of time with a new "friend" of his. My mother saw this and it really has been hurting her. She told my dad that she wants to reconcile and he has said NO now, becuase he is involved with this new woman.

Here's the problem. I need to be able to tell my father that this woman is not welcome in my home and will NOT be attending my wedding in October, if she's still around (please dear god no). I will not see my mother hurt on my wedding day becuase this new ***** is there.

What's the proper way to do that becuase I'm guessing I shouldn't use some of the terminology I just typed, but that's where my head is at right now...

So this last couple of days I had this feeling that there was something wrong with him,I dont know what is it but I was just worried,and so I sent him a message saying are you ok?is everything fine..cause I have a feeling theres something wrong.

So today I recieve a message him saying ''Oh im fine Im just really sick I have the flu. and then said how did you know?
you tell me you translate dreams and I told you 1 of my dreams..(now 3 months ago he told me a dream where I translated for him saying:your brothers lying about something,which he said yes its true..and told me what it was)

so continuing of what he said ''you translate my dream and you knew something about my brother..and now you have this feeling where your worried about me..Im getting scared here.

Im just an ordianry girl but him saying Im scared, I actually felt like a freak...like I made him see me as..wow this girls a nutsy cause she had this feeling that something was wrong..when this is normal cause
everyone has this feeling..

If you experienced this with me..how would you see me like?

My neighbor, who has liked me for like 3 years now, wont stop stalking me! i have a pool in my backyard and sometimes i like to enjoy it. well, i dont like to because my neighbor likes to get on his roof and watch me. I know he does this and so does his mom, cause she called our house saying that she caught him on the roof watchin me and my friend tanning. He has done this for a while but his mom has never caught him before till now. ive known he does it but i just kindly walk inside once i spot him. I feel like i have no privacy anymore and i dont know how to till my neighbor nicely that will actually get him to stop sping on me!

I am getting married on October, but I am considering a really good job in DC. I have a PR background, and there is way more opportunity for me there, instead of Richmond, where I am currently. On the same token, my fiancee is in the process of opening up his own business 2 hours south of Richmond, so eventually, the two of us would eventually settle down there anyway. We talked about the possibility of me going to DC, and we both agreed not to postpone the wedding. Everything's planned and we both really want to be married. So basically, after the wedding, we'd go on our honeymoon then go back to our separate places. Of course we'll miss eachother, but we both have all the trust in the world and know it will work. One weekend we'll be at our place in DC, then another we will be in Richmond. Then, in a year or two, we will finally settle in one area together and start a family.

I just wanted to get your opinion. It sounds good, but do you think it will work?

I wish someone would help me resolve this confusion. I know my situation is a vicious cycle. If I am not committed and faithful, and go out with another, I might lose him further (coz he is not the kind of guy who would come for me if I am in a relation with someone else).

But have I not lost him already since it's one-sided? Am I required to 'wait' for him if I want him, or can I date others? If I do date others casually, should I let him know, or keep it from him since it isn't necessary to tell him? (atleast not until I find 'the one')

I have been married for 5yrs and sometimes there are just things that I don't want to talk to my husband about. Mostly when we have an arguement I don't want to talk to him about it. My boyfriend of 3 years can not shake off his ex-wife. No matter what I say he still talks to her. While there has been times when he has improved but it goes back to the same thing. She feels he is availbe when she wants him too. They have 2 kids 22 and 18 there is no reason for them to be talking on a daily basis. He says he love me and is the happiest he has ever been but I am confused. He also tells me that now that they are divorced they can actually talk becasue they could not do it before. I have asked him to go to a therapist but he says no. Can someone please give me some advise.

Everywhere you go, you see people in pairs - they look happy! But, that's not "ever after." One day, their pair will leave them (either they want it or not - through death or choice). The only way to be "happy ever after" is to remain single - forever!

I started to compile a list of why people should remain single! Anybody want to add?

1) If your mate don't gain weight, you will if you get married
2) The only mess you see in your house is your own mess, and you clean it only if you feel like it
3) You take better control of your finances. You can spend your money the way you want, and nobody messes up your credit score
4) You can date anybody you want with no strings attach
5) Freedom ! ! !
6) You feel content with yourself, increase your self esteem, and nobody tells anything bad about you
7) You can drive a ferrari if you want to instead of a minivan.
8) No head ache, no heart ache, no worries at all
9) No Inlaws
10) You can devote your time to better things
