I wish someone would help me resolve this confusion. I know my situation is a vicious cycle. If I am not committed and faithful, and go out with another, I might lose him further (coz he is not the kind of guy who would come for me if I am in a relation with someone else).

But have I not lost him already since it's one-sided? Am I required to 'wait' for him if I want him, or can I date others? If I do date others casually, should I let him know, or keep it from him since it isn't necessary to tell him? (atleast not until I find 'the one')

Says who? If he doesn't like you back even after you told him you liked him, then why hold on? If you HAVEN'T told him, then..... you either tell him or forget it. Don't be the princess in waiting here. In life, you've got to be a go-getter. The worst he can do is say he doesn't like you back romantically. Then, move on and date others. If you're not in an exclusive relationship, then it's perfectly fine for you to date someone else. It's your decision to either tell him you're dating someone else or not. If he finds out and gets mad, tell him it was never a secret that you were dating someone else (just don't keep it hidden from him).

Go out and date because if both of you are really meant from each other sooner or later you'll end up together no matter far you've gone through from your other relationships with your own partners. You don't have inform him with your date or your partner because you're not committed from each other unless he ask you you can tell him you have a bf that's all. You don't need to elaborate to him everything with what's happening to you but if you have the special kind of friendship that's ok to tell. Its up to you also if you want to wait for him as long as you are free to date with others.

Pick one guy and stick with him.

Casually date other guys? NO. I would not be happy if a girl said "i'm not ready for you i just want to casually date other guys and when i make up my mind i'll come back to you." Don't keep this from him.

Life is too short forf b.s. like that.
A know a girl that did this and the original guy is gone! Found another girl and is quite happy, she on the other hand is depressed.

You women need to be more decisive: make up your minds!

You need to move on to a relationship that isn't one sided. You deserve better than this.

You can't have it both ways*... Tell him that you think he and you should see other people, and determine by his reaction, how he feels about it* ... One sided love on whose part? You or him? Please explain that to me*...
