I am in a relationship so this is just a hypothetical question. Many here have stated that one of the most desirable traits of a man is a good sense of humor. Has any of you gone out with/thought about going out with a man whose life has been so tough that he lost his sense of humor - even though he wishes he could get it back but can't seem to - or do you view such a man as a loser to be avoided at all costs?

Yeah, all my friends have boyfriends and all that. I keep reminding myself it's not going to matter when I grow up because I wouldn't think in Jr. High you would truly and deeply fall in love...but it feels so weird when we go to dances and stuff and I'm the only one without a date...what should I do?

i dont kno what to do everythin is just gettin pushed on me
when i was in 6th grade i almost commited suicide cuz no 1 was really my friend i was like a loner..i was the fat gurl & my parents dident understand & where always arguin & blamin shyt on me & tell me stuff & not takin it bak like my mom mostly.

then in JR. High everythin startin gettin really good & had friends that i could trust & where always there for me & lost ALOT of wieght..& my parents where still mean & arguin...but i just dealed wit it

well last summer my parents told me some thins bout my life that i didnt kno & really hurt me & effected me

my frnds started to believe what other people told them & likes stuff that i was sayin bout them but it wasent true...kno i dont kno who to trust or who REALLY is my true friends...my parents argue alot mor!! & say stuff that hurts mor mostly my mom (its like almost emotion abuse but they never hit me)..im gettin alil bigger, JUST ALIL BUT I HATE IT...theres alot mor

I met a guy and I explained something to him very clearly and used an example. He had no idea what I was talking about. So I explained it. He still didnt' get it. Finally I said in really basic terms.. almost baby talk. I felt I was talking down to him.. but then he got it.... I think. Is this normal between men and women? We are both intellegent adults.. we just hear different things when we talk.

I don't know what girls want in a guy anymore... I'm 6 foot 1 inch with dark brown hair and green eyes(which I get a lot of compliments about) tan skin, 20 years old and about to receive my bachelors degree in about 2 months with my masters as the next step, I've got an above average body(thanks to the gym), no tobacco or drugs, a job at a big company waiting for me, many goals in life, a race car and I'm just an all-around nice guy(at least thats what they tell me)... yet I can't find a girl who is interested in me... Okay theres this guy at my church and we have known each other for about a year an here recently he started flirting with me...i flirted back...i thought he liked me for awhile then about a week ago at church i was sittin with some friends...and he sat by me...i thought yeah this is good...my friend had just figured out i liked him that day..and we were sitting there during church an she wrote "whos sittin beside u?" on a piece of paper...and i said the name of the guy sittin beside me which is the guy i like an she said hmm...he was readin over my shoulder an i didnt kno...she said do u think hes cute an i said well yeah! an he saw what i said and blushed then she wrote on the paper that i liked him he blushed and scooted away from me an he wont talk to me an or look at me an he told her he didnt like me I dont understand.I am a teen gurl an im pretttty!
why would he blush if he doesnt like me??

I've been missing a girl for 11 months. I liked her, then fell in love with her, but she never liked me back. She got mad at me for a mistake I made which takes too much explanation and two months later she told me she didn't want to talk to me anymore. I HAD NOT been talking to her since she said she didn't want to talk to me anymore. So I gave her what she wanted. We used to say hi occasionally after that when we went back to school. I thought things would be cool between us so recently for the 1st time I tried to talk to her. When I asked her how she was, she kept her back turned towards me, unlike when I saw her sneak so many glances at me this past year. She texted on her phone. She never even looked at me, never said a word. I told her I only wanted us to be friends again but she wasn't hearing me. She talked to everyone who came in the hall but me. I just said "ok, I get the point, you don't have to say anything else. I guess I'll just see you around." I left the hall.

OK, well, how do I make someone laugh?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I love to put a smile on my friend's faces. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to do that?!?!?!?!?!?!?! My ex-ex girlfriend told me she knew she wanted to sleep with me the moment she saw me. She never gave me a "real" reason why. so heres the situation: i took a girl out to a restaurant, had a great time - was there for like 2 hrs, took her home and talked for bout another hr. we both said we had a great time and i left. i called a couple days later and we talked for like an hr n a half. during the convo i asked her if she was free this comin weekend and she said maybe but no promises and that was cool wit me cuz she's just bein honest. My father has not seen me for almost three years, my sister maybe six years. He has three grandchildren he has never met, and he isn't allowed to talk to us. He married a woman who eventually wiped us completely out of his life. Now they have two children of their own. He is not allowed to talk to us, but still..the last time I spoke to him he said he still loved us. I gave up a while back but I was wondering what exactly it is that keeps him under her wing. He has lost us and other family members because of this woman, and still til this day she writes blogs on the net about us. Do you think he is scared of something? Why didnt he get out if he loved us so much? Could she have been threatening him? He spoke with me in secret for a while until i thought it was rediculous. How could he allow someone to push his children away? We were not bad kids, no drugs, no gangs...we weren't straight A students but were not bad.
