I became a grandmother for the 1st time last week. I am having a problem w/my daughter-in-law allowing me to hold & visit my new grandson. Is there a place where GP's can go & chat w/others about simular problems? I only live 5 mi. from them, and her mother is the one who is doing all for her (I understand Mom & Daughter) but this is her 3rd grandchild. This is my D-I-L's second child & her 1st isn't even living w/her, he is being raised by her parents. I have tried not to burden my son with this issue( he is aware of it ) because my D-I-L can be very unreasonable & difficult to live with if she doen't have her way. So I need to find a chat room for grandparents to vent their concerns--I know there are alot of chats for Moms but what about Grandparents??? I NEED HELP!

of mine. The thing is that one day i ignored him and started to talk to another friend a lot, the nest day we saw, he did the same with another girl and said ok im going to substitute you for her, i said ok and got indifference about what he was doing so he stated teasing this other girl, after some time and no reaction from me he asked hey are you jealous? and i said NO.
My friend the one he with was also there, He also make me a comment like saying im with someone and u??? ohh u arent with anyone, which i answer i dont care.. i dont have to be with someone to be happy.
So what on with this boy?? he hates me or what?

How does one prepare for a divorce when you know the spouse is going to be really nasty and difficult? When the spouse doesn't want you to have anything even if you're entitled to it, when the spouse has no compassion towards the years you've spent together etc??? Any advice?

i always fall too deep too quickly before it goes long term but they always don't work out cause of my stupidy
because of this i always take failures really hard and have a difficult time recovering
so how can i think in a way so that i can say "if this doesn't work out i'll move on quickly..."?
i'm also wondering am i normal to be like that?

I keep getting asked this question so I wanted to know what you thought. It seems people dont like someone who has been divorsed. Yea divorses suck but they happen. Every situation is diffrent I know but for example: A guy has been divorsed twice, no kids yet, and is still a nice/good guy having a tough time dating. Ex#2 A young woman with a son cant seem to meet somone who wants to stick around and be part of there lives. If you have an example share it so we can find out why singles dont like divorced people.

I have been with my bf for 1 1/2 years. We have 4 kids(his,mine and ours.) We are going to get married next year. I really love him and he is so good to me and the kids, but I have a man from the past that I cant let go of. I think about him all the time, I know he and I would never be together, only chemistry we had was in bed!! but why do I think about him when I love my bf. My bf doesnt give it up enuf and I tell him I need it more, i know hes not cheating for a fact. Am I wrong to think about this other guy?

when my friend came to the door the other day, i noticed she was bigger which i have NO problem with at all but for some reason i had us go around a different way of the house because i didn't know what my step dad would think. I feel so guilty and selfish to be her friend. I mean i would go to the mall and stuff with her. I have with someone else who was bigger. I did the same thing once to a other friend when i was like 13 and i can't believe i did it the other night. It can't be because i am embarrassed because i brought her outside when my grandfather was here and he said hi and everything. Man, i don't know what to do! but i hate this guilt feeling! I know my step dad wouldn't have said anything ..but you wonder what people would think. She is coming over tomorrow and i keep obsessing over "what if she knew" and that i feel like a bad friend.
Don't think i am shallow. I wouldn't mind going in public with her ...i don't have a problem ..i think she is pretty. It was just that day.

we have a mexican girl 23 years old that has been working for us for the past year. she speaks no english at all. she works 11 hours a day and is the only mexican there along with my mom and cousin. i try to converse with her to keep her from being bored but conversation is somewhat difficult. i know some spanish because i took 3 years in high school. we had some decent conversations before and i try to talk to her everyday. she only speaks when i talk to her and never talks to me. she is not a shy person. when i stand next to her it feels awkard like she is trying to avoid eye contact with me and she looks uncomfortable when im close. should i just stop trying to speak to her.

My girlfriend broke up with at the end of January. I cannot get her out of my head. She is all that i think about. I try to occupy myself by doing activities that i enjoy. I even joined a gym and have been working out. No matter what i do i cannot stop thinking about her. When i wake up she is the first thing that comes into my mind. When i go to sleep she is the last thing that is on my mind. Her and I agreed to be friends, but i have recently decided to give her space. I have decided that if she wants to hang out with me, she can contact me. At first i was doing all of the contacting, but that was a bad mistake. We hung out twice last week and we both had a good time. Now I feel like this just makes it worse. I cant get her off my mind! What can i do? I am extremly depressed and need some good advice. thanks

I have a good friend (she's 25, I'm 22) - we have been good friends for the past 3 years.

Last spring, she filed for a divorce from her husband of 2 years, and it was finalzied this past October. However, in April of last year, leading up to her asking her busband for a divorce, she admitted to me that she had had feelings for me that went beyond those of just a friend, but she couldn't act on them because she was still married.

I had feelings for her as well, but haven't told her all this time.

To make a long story short, a moved away for 4 months from Sept. to December to attend a University, and I have recently moved back home to re-attend the community college we both go to.

However, she has been with a couple of guys during that time, and now has one that she swears is just "Great" in so many ways. I still haven't let her know my feelings for her. Should I tell her, or just move on with my life?
