My sister is getting married and I'm the maid of honor. My dress is suppose to be different from the bridesmaids, but the place she is getting the dresses from do not have a different dress that coordinates with the others. I suppose to look different so she said my bouquet will look like hers. (WOW!) I want to stand out more (not taking the attention from her) just stand out a little more so I won't look so much like a bridesmaid. Any suggestions on what I can do?

My boyfriend is older and very financially secure. I live in his home, don't work because of traveling with him. I really don't have much and he has everything. Why do I feel like I'd rather be poor living on my own than the peasant girlfriend?

He gave me a beautiful so called (ha!) engagement ring but how can lt work if when he dies he leaves everything to his kids? Do I start glueing cardboard boxes together? I expect to receive some pure H E.. double LL's here to use as motivation to get a life of my own.

Why do single Christian men not go to church? What is it that is a put off about church that they just don't go? Stats say that this group (single men 25-40) are usually the lowest demographic in churches.

There are often many single women there. A lot of churches (like mine) have awesome relavant messages.

So, what's the hang up?

When he moved, he called to give his new address and phone number.From the beginning of our divorce, we have always talked every week on the phone.When I went to visit my girlfriend in the same city, he came and picked me up , and took me to his home. She was not there.
Everywhere I went while I was with him, his arms were always round me. Said he would have done lots of things different when we were married.Were still talking on the phone 1,500 miles apart.He wants to visit with me next year.He now wants me to come down again this fall to visit with my girlfriend.
I am still trying to figure out why he doens't want to lose me completely.He has a little baby and now a father.
Can anyone give me any answers to this situation?

I remember being embarrassed that my dad was a preacher for some reason. The teacher asked each of us what our dad did and I answered "clergyman" hoping no one would know what that was! I'm definitely not ashamed now! He was a great man! I miss him now.....

I live in a really rich town. But my family dosnt have a lot of money, we only live here for the schools. Our house is tiny and needs a lot of work. We bought it to fix it up, but it is taking forever (over 3 years now). The inside is always a mess because nobody every has time to clean, my parents are always at work and my brother and I have school. Im embarrassed to invited people over to my house because it seems so gross to me. But i also feel bad never inviting my friends over, and only going to their houses. What should i do?

Just wondering how many people out there have weird fantasies?
I mean I find myself having these fantasies regularly and most I would be embarrassed to tell people out. Most are forbidden type of fantasies that society would look down upon. I think I am somewhat of a normal guy, but these fantasies and desires are still there. Just wanted to know if anyone else had these. Just interested I guess. You don’t have to admit to what yours are if you don’t want, but if you had the courage to go for it. I just wanted to see how many people would be willing to admit to this besides me. i have 16 kids (some are mine, some adopted) with 2 on the way. they are all beautiful and for the most part well-bahaved (if you want to know the family story see my previous ques.)when we go out somewhere it's the same thing "ever heard of birth control", "are you mormon". a whole bunch a rude and nasty comments. i always try to ignore them, but it sometimes it hurts the younger ones feelings (especially the adopted ones) when people say that. once my 7 year old tried to run away because some man said "i highly doubt you want all those kids, you were just too lazy to use a condem". how can i stop this. the older ones just turn their heads and walk on. but it's still hurtfull.

I have a phobia of cheating on my girlfriend, I like her lots, I don't plan to cheat on her but I'll be sitting in class and feel like im doing something to cheat on her when i'm not even speaking to anyone. or another an example is I'll not open the door the for someone ON purpose & then look back and still feel bad! like I did something against my girlfriend, I don't understand why I feel this way, I like my girlfriend and really don't want to break up with her over something silly like this, I feel stressed about doing something when I didn't do anything to cheat on her, This really is the first relationship that this has happend with, she isn't controlling or anything so dont think it hers, My thinking has been out of whack, any advice? thanks

...this tradition set-up by my ancestors that the males of the family leave home at 21. Plus, I'm helping my adopted sister take care of our younger siblings and I still am handy around the house. Should I have followed what culture says and break the vicious cycle, or should I keep our family tradition?

By the way, in our family tradition, girls leave home at 19. That's why my twin sister is in Vermont (our birthplace and hometown) while I'm with the rest of the family here in California.

Ok, so me and my bestfriend have been friends for 12 years. Lately (the past two years) I feel like im competing against her! I know shes my best friend and i should be completely comfortable around her but thats just the way it is. She always has to shop at the same stores as me, get the same clothes, the otherday she even got her hair cut the same as mine!! I love her like a sister but at the same time I cant stand her! Shes also tries VERY hard to impress the "popular" girls at my school. Shes trying to be somthing shes not and everyone who really knows her can see right through that. I am 20 years old, I live, most of the year, in a dorm away from home. My mom still grounds me, usually for leaving the house without asking, or having my boyfriend visit me in my dorm without letting her know. She also opens my mail, answers the phone pretending to be me, and I have reason to believe shes been filling out job applications in my name. Is this normal????
