My first wedding, I wore it on my right hand and slipped it over sometime during the ceremony before we were pronounced man and wife. My second (and last) wedding, I had the rings soldered together a week prior to the wedding, so when he slipped the ring on my finger, it was both at the same time.

Best wishes on your upcoming nuptials.

My wedding band was a wrap band so the rings looked better together. He slid the wedding band onto my ring finger with the engagement ring. As for the norm - all of my aunts wore the engagement on their right hand, then switched it for pictures.

You could also have them soldered together before the ceremony, so that way you will have the whole set already done. Just an idea.

Well, throw "the norm" out the window. Everybody has their own ideas, etc.

I plan on putting my engagement ring on my right hand before I walk down the aisle, and switch it to the left after the ceremony is done.

Some people put it on their pinkie, some give it to their maid of honor, some people put the wedding ring on the outside of the engagement ring (engagement on first, then wedding). I have even seen one fried wear her engagement ring on a chain around her neck, as a necklace! (I would suggest not doing this; it looked okay during the ceremony, but then at the reception her neck looked "empty")

My ring is a bit tricky because the engagement ring has two bands attached in the center by the stone (it also flips over so one side has diamonds and the other side is saphires and diamonds) so my wedding ring sits in between the two bands for the engagement ring (I hope I havent confused you) in any case I wore mine on my right hand for the ceremony and switched it right after so that I had it all togeather. You can put it on your right hand and switch it durring the ceremony if it is not a pain in the butt like mine was (everyone would have seen me do it). You should in any case have your engagement ring with you. Traditionally your left ring finger should be bare when you get married. I hope this helped a bit Congrats on your wedding!

The norm is- to put the engagement ring on the other hand until after the wedding band is slipped on, then transfer the engagement ring back over to the hand with the wedding band on it.

You would wear it on the other hand, if you like. Keep your ring finger bare, where the wedding band will be placed. After the ceremony, you can put the engagement ring on overtop of the wedding band if you like.

Whatever is comfortable to you. What I did was wore my engagement ring on my right hand during the ceremony, and then afterwards switched it to my left hand. My sister had hers soldered together, so they were put on together. Generally your wedding band is the first ring on. Hope this helps.

Wear your engagement ring on the other hand or have your maid of honor wear it for you until after the ceremony.

I wore mine. It was a part of me and us. When we were getting ready to walk over to exchange rings I put it on my pinkie finger. And after he put on the wedding band I quickly switched it back over onto my ring finger. I've watch the wedding video and you can't even tell I did that. It worked perfectly and then I had it on for all the pictures. Good luck.

You usually dont wear a band at the wedding. Your finger is free until you get your wedding band on.
