I was just wondering what everyone thought was a good time span from getting engaged to getting married. Me and my boyfriend just got engaged on Valentines day. He wants to wait like 5 years to get married so we can save up more money. I on the other hand want to get married sonner. I was thinking more like May 2009? How long did you wait to get married after becoming engaged?

Earlier tonight, i mentioned to him that i wanted to get a bike for me to ride around the neighborhood for exercise. I want to better my health and maybe help lose a little weight. I am 27 and i am not overweight , i would like to lose maybe 10 pounds to better my body. He started complaining that i wanted one and said we already had enough clutter around the house. He then proceeded to complain about all the things i had that needed to be thrown out. Including childhood toys and other sentimental items i've had for years. After this, he started telling me that it would just sit on the front porch after a week because i wouldn't follow through with it. I have NEVER tried something like this before. This came out of nowhere. He was completely attacking me. On the other hand, he is the one who is always trying new diets and things to lose excess weight. I have always supported him & tried to help him succeed. I expected the same. I told him that he was the one w/ no follow through.

I have explained to my guy that I am not comfortable with him spending the night at my home yet. Yet every week without fail when it is time for him to go home, and sometimes it's pretty late, he leaves begrudginly and we will have a discussion about it in our next conversation. I feel the only solution is to cut down on the late nite hours but of course his whole objective is to spend more time, so he doesn't want that. I have no problem sticking by doing only what I know is comfortable for me, we aren't sexually active, and I explain this to him paitiently every time it comes up. This conversation/"argument" has been going on about a month now and I don't understand why it continues to be an issue.

I'm not talking about deep feelings for him--I'm talking about intense feelings in general. Strong humor, love, jealousy, sadness, happiness, etc. Why are some men afraid of women with strong feelings? I mean, they aren't contagious or anything.

I am wondering whether my weight gain has made me less attractive to hubby as he always seems to brush me off and say he's watching a movie, or rather "I thought we were watching the movie" to me. We have a tv in our bedroom, it went in there after we moved into our new place a month ago against my wishes--I've heard TV decreases intimacy and I really believe it from past experience. So I told him I didn't want it in there and he goes, well fine I'll take it out of there and sell it and sell all my movies. I dont expect him to sell the tv or any of the movies. Can't he watch movies in the living room? And how do I break his habit of watching them in the bedroom? I dont see whats wrong with watching TV in the living room and talking in the bedroom. Should reading be banned from the bedroom too? Does anyone think reading in the bedroom could be an intimacy breaker? I dont know whats wrong that hubby pushes me away. He's complaining he used to have fun when he was single.

I have spent the majority of my life thinking "You are going to do something great in this world!" And, I ALWAYS ALWAYS have this thought in the back of my mind that I should be doing more, more, more in this world. Most of my friends definitely say that march to a different drummer. Is this normal? Are there others out there like me?

I posted this as a need to know question. I just read a YA where several people answered a man's questions incorrectly. He was concerned because his girlfriend was raped. Too many people said that the woman was intoxicated so it wasn't rape, that she didn't have the right to say yes and then no, and that maybe she was lieing.

Did you know?
That anyone who is intoxicated can't give legal consent. Even if someone clearly says yes and they are intoxicated, this is not legal consent. This is considered Date Rape. It is against the law.

Also. A woman ALWAYS has the right to change her mind. This is true anytime before or during intercourse. And even after if she was intoxicated or underage. Any woman can change her mind before and during intercourse. A woman can say yes and half way through change her mind and say no. Once a woman says no, if the man continues to have sex with her this IS considered rape.

My 36 year old boyfriend is moving to another state with his parents instead of staying here with me. (They all live in the same town right now) We've been together for 7 years, and now all of a sudden he wants to move with his parents clear across the US. Although he has always said that he doesn't like being around his parents, he wants to move with them. He has been saving ALL OF HIS MONEY for the move since September of '06 (which he gives to his mother on paydays, that has a savings account in her name for him). He hasn't given me a dime since Sept., and we live together! How would you feel if this was happening to you? I'm hurt and angry and I want him gone NOW since he's going anyway! I've asked him to leave and live with his parents since he's moving with them anyway, but he refuses. They are all moving in June, but I want him gone now! Should I feel this way?

Okay, my husband is in Iraq, has been since September 4th. We've never had any problems in the bedroom, NEVER, it's always been great. Well I just gave birth to our beautiful daughter in January. Well he's coming home in 2 weeks and he's telling me that he doesn't want to have sex with me. Why? My best friend thinks he's worried he might hurt me or that it'll be different, since this is our first baby. But I'm worried that he doesn't want me like that anymore!

I even asked him why and he just ignored every question I asked and wouldn't even talk. Then he all of sudden was like well I"m going to go, I'll talk to you later, love you.

I don't understand, PLEASE HELP!
