I am in highschool and i know it is not essential that I have a boyfriend but hey you know what it sure would be nice to know that that someone really cared for you! I have never had a boyfriend and it really does hurt a lot!

most teens don't date for love, then are just looking for some fun.. i always thought dating was about love and never asked people out that i didn't think would make a good life partner. i ended up not having my first gf til i was 25.
i agree that it would be nice to know someone cares about you. i feel the same way. i've not had much luck over the years..
talk to your close friends and let them know your concerns. maybe they will be able to find a guy that you can at least hang out with and go on a date with. and you can take things from there.. love takes time.. you gotta just start with a friendship and dating and hope things materialize from there..
meanwhile, try not to let this get you down too much. focus on the many other things in life that are going well.. family, friends, music, sports, hobbies, doing well in your classes, etc..

don't be down because you think that you will never find true love everyone has someone who is made especially for them. i am in high school also and i don't have a boyfriend i think about it and i think it would be nice but i also think that i will get someone who cares for me when it is the right time. i think that you should wait a while the perfect guy will find you in no time besides you are young and you have your whole life ahead of you so have fun and everything will fall into place on its own.

I've made it to college without having a boyfriend!
So, yes, I feel the same way. I keep wishing for one... I know he'll come soon, I just hate not knowing when. :) Maybe my first will be the guy I spend the rest of my life with! Believe it or not, it happens sometimes. :)

i know that it feels bad when you see all your friends with boyfriends.. and you dont have one, but to be honest... boyfriends just bring drama to your life... yea you feel left out when you dont have a date and stuff, but you just have to look at the brighter side of things... good things happen to those who wait, and you are just saving yourself for someone actually worth your time.. not some stupid little boy that just wants to get in your pants..... so dont feel bad, once you finish high school, thats when life really begins, you will find someone that will love you and cherish you.... so be patient, mr. right will find you when you least expect it.

well im 18 and never had a girlfriend. ive been feeling this way alot though.. ive had alot of problems going on and because of them i think,"why would anyone want to love me if i only bring sadness to their lives.
it also makes it worse for me since my friends all have girlfriends and they seem to be disappointed that i don't have one. My family is getting disappointed as well and thats the worst.
i just hope things get better for me when i go to college.
