I'm not talking about deep feelings for him--I'm talking about intense feelings in general. Strong humor, love, jealousy, sadness, happiness, etc. Why are some men afraid of women with strong feelings? I mean, they aren't contagious or anything.

I can seriously live without the Jealousy. I cannot stand being checked up on and having to answer to a wrath if i dont want to answer the phone and give an hourly update of where I am. I'm honest about what I do. If you think i'm hiding something and dont trust me, quit calling me.
Girls are generally more emotional and I can accept that. But the extreme emotion girls from what I've seen are the hardest to get along with in the long run. Sure they love you more but it comes at a price.
The other thing i've noticed is the most extreme of the emotional girls have serious problems with envy of other girls so they cant have any girl friends to hang out with because they fight and are at each others necks too much.
Please other girls on here that are going to say.. well blah you should take it! Tell me how well you get along with your strong emotion friend while both of you are PMS'ing. See we as guys have to be able to take the abuse and swallow it without fighting back. Strong emotion girls do not take abuse, they just bounce it right on back at you fired up 5x hotter than it was before!
I'm sorry if what I say offends you cause it probably does ;) but i'm just being honest and hope you appreciate that i was.

not generally afraid, just not sure how to respond. most men keep their emotions in check because that is what they think they are supposed to do, especially around their other male friends. when the meet a female that has deep strong emotions about anything it kinda freaks them out. whether they admit it or not men have very strong emotions too, its just that they are afraid to show them or even acknowledge them. after enough time around you they will usually open up to you.

apparently you are very forward ...and that may be a bit much for a guy who does not know you very well .... If you are with a guy who is new to you cool it a bit then as your realtionship grows show more of the real you .... but to let it all hang out on the first date most guys will cut and run .... thinking you may be on something or a head case ... so measure it all out have fun but use your head too....

Some men are really careful with those type of women. They are really afraid that whatever they do can hurt the gal's feelings. But at the end, guys are really meticulous.

i think that most men just dont know how to handle it. most men are still raised that showing emotions is a bad thing so when they see strong emotions it makes them uncomfortable because they do not really know how to show them themselves.

It is not that they are afraid they just don't know how to deal with it. For example when they are smaller they are programmed to believe that real men don't cry. That if they cry they are weak.

i like an emotional person. maybe some guys just don't want to get serious with you. could be they just want a little casual fun. or, could be they feel you are emotionally unstable and have mental illness. it's hard to say..
