I have a child that is 12, and is a very bright kid (high honors), but spends hour after hour after hour doing homework. She is not actually doing her homework, but is distracted by every little thing. The upsetting thing to me is that she does not have a problem with the work, just focusing on getting it done. It has also seriously cut into her personal time. Any suggestions or similar experiences?

I'm a married man. I work in a company. There is another guy I know who talks about how other women in the company look pretty or beautiful etc.. He is married as well and has a child. He dosen't appear to be a womanizer or anything like that but in my own opinion it isn't right for a married man to form an opinion about how a woman looks etc... esp when he is married. This is a hospital were women outnumber men 10 to 1. We both are degreed and work in the field of IT

My best guy friend and I have started taking it one step further. We don't have sex or anything...but we have been talking about being together and stuff..he is in the Marines, and stationed in Cali. I live in Washington (where we both grew up) he won't be out of the Marines until 2009. He keeps saying that he's falling for me and that he thinks he's in love with me and wants to be attached to me and be with me forever and stuff...how do I know if this is real or not? I want to believe him, but its hard sometimes. If you knew him, you would know that he has a sarcastic goofy nature and sometimes its hard to know the truth from him.....do you think he's for real? let me know!

He was in the military and stationed at Fort Bragg, in 1977. I know his last name and his rank. I only have a possible first name, though it could be a nickname. He may not be alive, but I would like to find my half sisters all 4 of them. They may not know that I exist. Back in '77 they lived in the New York area. I am getting married in 8 months and hope they can be there.

I swear that I'm invisible. In the past 5 years we've been out 2 times. I threaten divorce and he cries. He only cares about me when I want out. This has happened more than twice. He swears he is going to make me feel loved, but that only lasts a few days. He knows more about his boat than he does me. He only cares because it would screw him financially. Our kids would not do well with the divorce, I just know it. They are not that young any more. I've been thinking about waiting until the youngest is out of the house and the I'm gone!! Does that sound stupid? I think there would be less damage done to the kids if they stay in a whole family instead of the broken family. By the time they adjusted to a divorce they would be young adults and would have lost the best years of their childhood to our divorce. Someone help me please. I need a friend who understands so bad!

My husband and I both have ex spouses with him having three older boys 12 and up. I have a 16 month old from a previous marriage. His x calls ALL the time. She always finds "some reason" to call even by using the kids as an excuse of some sort. My ex and I rarely talk and we have a baby that cant talk and dont have a cell phone. there is this boy ive fancied since ive known him hes 15 and im 14 we work at this placxe where we look after kids and i had i conversations with my friends and this little girl heard it and she went to tell the boy that i fancy him and he was like i already know and he told someone else or the girl im not sure but he said ive known her for 9 months and if i fancied her i would of asked her out or something and i was well upset and embarrassed do you think he meant or he was embarrased i mean he flirts with other girls except me he does talk to me but when im walking his wat he doesnt smile at me he just looks away if i look at him i mean he hardly talks to me i dont why maybe coz he knows i fancy him. my dad invited his dad and his mum and him and his sister over to dinner once and we sat opposite each other we couldnt even look at each other i was so embarrassed at the end of the day he smiled and said thankyou do you think hes shy or embarrassed or do you think he fancies me?
