My best guy friend and I have started taking it one step further. We don't have sex or anything...but we have been talking about being together and stuff..he is in the Marines, and stationed in Cali. I live in Washington (where we both grew up) he won't be out of the Marines until 2009. He keeps saying that he's falling for me and that he thinks he's in love with me and wants to be attached to me and be with me forever and stuff...how do I know if this is real or not? I want to believe him, but its hard sometimes. If you knew him, you would know that he has a sarcastic goofy nature and sometimes its hard to know the truth from him.....do you think he's for real? let me know!

I think he is for real. I've been in boot camp before it makes you want to take every thing thats good in your life and keep it close. I say give him a chance if you have feelings for him. if not do your best to stay friends.

Hi

Only time will tell . If you two share a chemistry , and he feels good about your relationship then I would not second -guess whether he is for real or not . Even goofy people can have a serious side to them .

I feel that it is real . Good Luck with your future together .

Take care

Its kinda hard to take sarcastic people seriously in the first place so I would definitely take things one day at a time like you've been doing.

Sorry darling, I don't think men can sincerely open their hearts. Look at it from a man's point of view, his goal is to what____?
He will do or say what ever it takes to reach that goal, so my adivce is to look ahead to the future.. how would you feel if you moved forward and he was not trustworthy. Ask yourself some serious questions about what YOU want for your future, not what he desires at the moment.
Good Luck,
Faith

for one i am from california and if he is still talking to you and he is in the marines it sounds like he has figured out what he wanted. if he is goofy he is having fun and he likes you.
