I don't know how to approach this problem of mine. I've been with my girlfriend for about 8 1/2 months, and I still can't seem to relax around her SOMETIMES. It is very strange. Most of the time, I don't know how to make conversation with her. I feel socially inept and insecure. I have basically no friends and I'm very introveted, so I don't have much of a life outside of my full time job and college courses. The thing about my gf is that a couple of weeks ago she said she loved me, and I could tell she meant it. She has a four year old daughter. I notice that my gf is more introverted and laughs less around me than others. I sometimes think that I bring her down. I also think that she is settling sometimes. You see, she has cerebral palsy, and I do things to help her out. I sometimes think that she might love me for the things I do rather than for me. She doesn't take advantage of me, and she is very independent. I just don't know what to make of our relationship. Advice

Say a bride (speaking in general) wants to wear sleeves or a colored dress, most people will say to her "wear something white or ivory with minimal colored accents, otherwise you'll regret your choice". If she wants something other than a sitdown or buffet dinner or maybe she doesn't want to serve dinner at all. Any number of choices that stray from the "comfortable" traditional.

If the choices reflect the tastes and personalities of the couple, why do random strangers (and even some guests) feel it is their right and business to judge what they do? They would take great offense if they were in her shoes and received the same comments but it doesn't occur to them how rude they are being to her.

On the same token, would you refuse to attend the wedding of someone whose tastes were vastly different than yours simply because they were non-traditional (but non-offensive)?

I've been dating this guy for about 8 months now. After the first couple of months he was asking questions (looking to the future) about when we could be together (he lives in another state and I have teenage children). I was hesitant at first and said that it would be at least a couple of years when my kids are out of school.

I thought everything was going well with us (we were seeing each other every other weekend). Until a few weeks ago he said he was coming to see me and didn't. I got upset and then last weekend he seems different and says his job is uncertain and he can't make me any promises about the future.

Sounds like a brush off to me...am I reading too much into this or what?

I am married to a man that is increasingly making me unhappy. I try to make him happy, but he always finds something to yell at me about, then when he can't there is always my family to yell seeing as he hates them and wants me to have nothing to do with them, or any friends. He controls everything I do and if I go anywhere I have to have a cell on me at all times otherwise he goes crazy. No I have not cheated on him to make him feel this way. He takes all the money, yes, I stay at home, but even when I worked he took my paycheck cashed it and I was lucky to see enough of it to buy a soda. We have a toddler that is making it harder to keep the house spotless always and he does not take that into mind. So, got him a valentine bag with a few of his favorite candies then he just said oh yeah give me candy I am diabetic. He is but when he eats tons of sweets he tells me to lay off he takes a pill for it. I didnt tell him that he was rude, I am tired of fighting. Is it just over?

And that im just having fun at work where I am a high paid engineer. And that after im done with these revisions I get to go home to my beautiful fiancée of whom has loved me endlessly and effortlessly for the past 3 years as I loved her and I get to go home the cutest baby girl ever to be born. I own a house in south Florida, and have a great life.

Some people have personalities and have fun, others sit here and take things seriously when the majority of the posts are whiney dribble about pre-teen love to which no logical advice can be administered.

Think about that. Whats worth more, some in one ear and out the other advise or a laugh? Id say a laugh.

Okay. My father and mother have been divorced for 5 years. My father took custody of my siblings and I for that duration. However, my father always made different rules for every child. He thought that his male children should always have better. It really wasn't fair and everytime I "misbehaved", he'd threaten to throw me out of the house.

Then in July of '06, he met a woman with 3 additional children, all girls. He put her and her children on the top of his list and he'd leave me, and two younger brothers behind for weeks at a time to go be with this woman. I'm not to fond of her (she's two-faced in my opinion) and I have made that quite clear.

My father has told me on several occasions that he will do better but marrying this woman asap is top priority. I understand he's my father, but he has abandoned me and my siblings on occasions to be elsewhere. I have moved out since then and I don't think I should go.

What do you think?

I was searching history on our computer for a site that I visited and discovered that my husband has been looking at internet porn sites without me knowing. I could understand if our sex life was boring, but it is anything but boring. He even got onto one site that allows you to find others in our area that he can communicate with. Should I be worried; should I say anything, or should I just drop this and let him peak away?

My fiancee likes to go do things with her friends almost every night. We fight a lot because it seems that she is never here with me. We have three kids together and I am the one who makes sure that they eat and have baths. She gets mad when I ask her to stay home one night with me and the kids to eat dinner or to watch a movie. She will tell me sometimes that she does not want to go do anything but stay at home with me. But whenever someone calls she gets up and runs to see what they want instead of staying with her family. I get mad at these things cause I am home alone a lot with the kids. It's like I am the only parent there for them. She gets mad when she ask me to do something and I say no so that way we are together for the night. I think that when she is out all the time that she is cheating on me. And I do not want to think that. I want us to have a happy relationship together. But it takes two to work and I want to change my attitude so she will change her ways about things.

I find myself in a rut. I seem to think (or act) like it's ok or even expected to treat my girlfriend worse than I would treat a total stranger. Why is that?

I was going to give a girl something but I happened to get sick on Valentine's Day. I saved up a gift for her too but now I can't give it to her. What's another good time to give her it? I'm not sure when her birthday is.

Any tips on getting a girlfriend? I never had a girlfriend before nor do I have good female friends. I hear that just because a person has a female friend, that doesn't necessarily means she will become his girlfriend. And that is true. I have heard that 1st appearance matters a lot so will it be better for me if I stop biting my nails and talking to girls? I know for a fact that my voice is a really bad turnoff. My friend say I need to impress a girl with my other qualities. What is the other qualities that I need to find to get a girlfriend? I am 19 years old already. and please do not answer something about money, since if i give a lot of gifts and spend lots of money on her, it would be wasting since it would be too nice and that would be a turnoff. and I wouldn't have a girlfriend. I would just have only a friend.

Do you have to have sex with a man before you "fall in love" with him, or is it possible to fall in love with someone that you haven't even kissed?
