It may seem that the other person is helping your bad marriage but, the only thing an affair does is destroy everyone involved. No one is getting a whole person. Each person is sharing a portion of themselves with someone else. Affairs are very destructive to not only a marriage, but also to the cheater. I believe that the cheater will suffer the most. If you are very lucky, you will not get caught and will get out of the affair or out of the marriage. If you do not love your husband, let him go so that he can find someone who loves him for who and what he is. It is not fair to him to hold him in a loveless marriage when he could be with someone who truly loves him in every way. It may seem like the affair will make the marriage "bearable" but, it will eventually cause the cheater a great deal of guilt, shame and depression.

wait a minute here!!
this is called cheating first of all
the answer to the question
when you lose respect for your spouse
you do not search to have sex with that person like before
you just go for it out of pity (sex) or knowing they are a sure thing
you most certainly can enjoy it once in a while
but it is just not the same

Even if she could lower herself to this she shouldn't. Don't be a cheat. It wrecks lives. If there are problems in your marriage. Get a third party invoved. God hates divorce. It hurts more than just the two of you.

Read your question to yourself, you already know the answer you just want someone to tell you its okay. I don't mean to sound harsh, but what part of I do (did you not understand) or better or worse. etc........
I don't no your situation, but sounds like to me you want your cake and eat it to if you are so unhappy and he treats you so bad leave life is all about choices.
GOOD LUCK

saying you're in a bad marriage doesnt justify your cheating but obviously it makes you feel better about it.
