A coworker sent me an email that I was too weird for him to be friends with because I was sending him mixed signals. We had been close for awhile and I told him it was best that we ignore each other so I can get over my crush on him since he already has a gf. Anyway during all of this, he asked me if I wanted to hook up with him, of course I said yes, since I liked him.
Then I called him a dog via text since he jerked my feelings around and wrote a letter apologizing to him. This is what provoked him to ignore me for the past month. Yesterday, he looked at me like he wanted to say hello and I emailed him asking hihim if we could just treat each other like coworkers and say hello. He emailed me back saying that I was too weird to be his friend and that we should just continue ignoring each other for both his and my sake and that i was wrong for wanting to hook up with him since he already has a gf. I didn't respond back to him, since he asked me not to. But then he got mad. ??

I am finding it very hard to love my husband anymore. He has gotten into some really bad legal troubles, even looking at jail time. He keeps trying to be someone he's not. I have told him repeatedly that I don't like it, but he continues to do it. He also enjoys flirting with single women in online dating services. I told him I was very uncomfortable with that, but he still continued. He even went as far as having internet sex with a girl. How much am I supposed to endure? I no longer find him attractive, actually I am repulsed by the site of him in the bedroom. I feel no sexual desire for him anymore. I always thought I would marry for life, I don't like divorce, it's too common these days. I have no friends to turn to, and I can't talk to my family about this. What do I do? Should I stay, or should I go?

I’ve been doing everything I can think of to get my son back on the right track. He is not working and doesn't have a High School Diploma and seems content with just hanging out with his friends all day so he can come home late to avoid facing his us and our questioning. The only time he builds up enough courage to call us at work or to come home to face us face to face is when he wants something (money, or borrow the car). When we don't give him what he wants he usually has a temper tantrum which seems to work on my wife because she usually gives in to him. He use to be a good kid up to about his 10th grade year in a private high school. That year his grades dropped and he was force out and began attending a public school. He made it to his 12th grade year which he didn't complete because of a mix up with his credits from his old school. Over the last 5 years he's been in and out of GED programs. He also lost an older brother to murder and was shot himself. HELP!

Okay, seriously, only people who have experience in this answer. My step daughter is 10 (I have been living with her since she was 4-weekends, all holidays, two days a week, and 2 weeks+ in the summer). The problem is that I still cannot stand to always have my schedule revolve around her and what she wants. No matter what my husband and I want to do,he has to schedule it around her. It annoys me in the worst way. But the thing that makes it wose is the fact that she is 9 and she acts like she is 3-and her dad treats her as if she is 3. He still does everything for her, cuts up her food, etc. He will not even make her keep her room clean, much less do any other chores. She even informed me that she would never lift a finger to do a chore. She also does not listen to anything we tell her to do. On the rare occassion when he does tell her to do something she just ignores and then he just lets her get her way. She dictates what we do, eat, watch, etc. Please tell me how you would deal..

he is in the National Guard and is stationed in Arizona now. He drinks really bad. She flew to see him in Arizona last week and called me yesterday and told me, he got drunk the night before and Hit her. She went downstairs to the Lobby and her boyfriends Sargent saw the Marks on her and she told him the truth. She informed me thay they talked to him and he apologised to her for what he did. She has told me it is NOT the first time he has hit her, and its always when hes drinking. My question is this... She was not brought up in this kind of Behavior. Her father never hit me, in our 28 years of Marriage. She keeps making excuses for him, that She Loves him and he needs her and he will change. But I cannot get it through her head, hes NOT unless he really wants to. Why do women want and need these kind of men?? I am baffled...

Comparing two wonderful fathers
Families are possibly the most important aspect in any society .Mother or the father sometimes in their own little world forgetting if they have children who look up to them. Children watch and record every move that their parents make with them, and in front of them. But most of the time parents seem not to recognize that. However, these two poems “My Papa’s Waltz” by Theodore Roethke, and “Those Winter Sundays” by Robert Hayden can be compared and contrasted from their structure, images, and tones.
First stanza in “My papa’s Waltz” presents a clear picture of a young man’s father, that explain a drinking father who hung on life through thin and think in line (1-4) “The whiskey on your breath” the “whiskey” demonstrates a olfactory image and “but I hung on like death” the second Stanza in line (5-6) “We romped until the pans slid from the kitchen shelf” show the boy was having fun with his father.
The poem “My Papa’s waltz”, by Theodore Roethke shows a regular structure with a perfect rhyme pattern: breath, death, dizzy, easy. It has a set form that consists of four stanzas and employs strict stanza structure. “My Papa’s waltz” has tactile imagery in line (11-13) “At every Step you missed/ My right ear scraped a buckle/You beat time on my head.” That makes us a reader more sensitive and creates vivid details with sense of sight “My mother’s countenance” line 7.
In Those Winter Sundays” by Robert Hayden presents free verses, end rhyme. Enjambment in lines shows no regular pattern, no exact pattern and no visual structure of stanzas. The first stanza has five lines and the second has four. The poem does not seem to rhyme. First stanza explain hard working father who wake up early everyday and even on Sunday morning like the other days becomes a routine for him. His father gets up early and dresses up in the cold darkness, sounds painfully cold; his “cracked hand” means hard working man. In “Blazing” the fire that the father creates, “Breaking” sounds of wood and “chronic anger” that rules the house the image of that man up early in the morning. “Banked fires blaze. No one ever thanked him” (line 5) this image is very touching because his boy who sound like a teenager didn’t show appreciation.
In “Those Winter Sundays” poem, the speaker present concrete images the narrator is thinking about coldness. He does not understand the meaning of his father’s action. “My Papa’s Waltz” and “Those Winter Sundays” are two somewhat similar poems about respected fathers. They talked about hard working fathers. The father is the man that brings food to the table and spends time with them. In these two poems Roethke and Hayden take an admiring look back at the action of their fathers. Both parents were not perfect they show different form of love and clear picture of their fathers. The structures of the poems show for a better understanding, using rhyme and meter and other form of structure.

I just moved to pa, 7 months ago. When I lived in new york I had a career in a hospital for almost 4 years as a nurse assistant. Now in the past 7 months in PA. I've gone through 3 jobs and wasn't happy with any of them. I had a job in a assisted living, didn't pay me enough for what they wanted us aids to do. In fact we where getting paid less there at the assisted living then my second job at a hotel and at the assisted living I was doing a lot more for the elderly then I was doing for anyone at the hotel. I had to leave the hotel after 3 months for discrimination they did to me. Last job was a waitress for 1 week, The manger had me going home in tears every night. I've filled out more applications then I can count. I have experience in Nurse's assistant, customer service, retail and I've even tried to get a cookbook published.....nothing. Any suggestions

without me at his side. I can only look back now and say for sure, there were reasons from childhood of when father was not there for us children, he taught us what not to do without knowing. it was not by choice that i could not be there , it was from his teachings an unseen hand kept us apart i felt it most days in my heart. he did not ask for an obituary or a funeral. i can understand all that needed to be said was said between us, I can not be there when they place him in the ground i live too far away and i would not ask for any help to get me there because i know how life is. I simply wanted to share with someone other than those i know and yes I love my father and only heaven knows.

During the month of Dec. I caught my husband cheating on me.Everything came to a shock to me because I was not expecting it. I know that every marriage has its problems but I thought what ever it was that he was feeling we could have talked about it. We had a very strong relationship. Well at least i thought. We were seperate for almost 1wk. Then he came back and apologized that he realized that leaving his wife and daughter wasnt worth it. But we ..no i cant say we. I tried my very best to make thing better for us and he didnt even give it an effort. He came back and was different to me and cruel, hurtful, uncaring, and all the harsh thing someone can do to hurt you mentally & emotionally. I would pray ever night because i could live like this anymore. So we talked and he mentioned that he was in LOVE right now and thats all that mattered. So I gave him the time to leave. He yelled at me and slapped me. never had he done somthing like that to me. So he left and did not shed one tear.
