Mstry, the guys didn't 'deserve it'. I know you didn't mean that, but it's what you said.

No way. Being a battered husband is just as bad as being a battered wife.

He doesn't have any more of an obligation to stay with her than she would if the shoe were on the other foot. There are shelters for men out there. And if he's not comfortable going to a shelter, then he should go to friends. And he should definitely go to the police and file a report and a personal protection order, otherwise she might lie and say it was done in self defense. There are women out there who will bruise themselves up just to get a man in trouble. Hope this helps.

Far and few between. Men get abused by their wives as frequently as women get abused by their husbands. You just do not hear about it becuase men are reluctant to come forward and say anything for fear of being called a "wimp."

Ask yourself, "How likely is it that, if you do absolutely nothing, your wife may do you more harm the next time?" This is serious business, and you should file a police report. She either needs professional help, and/or to be put in a place where she will not harm anyone anymore.

If you have any friends, I would ask them if you could stay with them for a short time. I would also contact your local church or house of worship. They can also help you, too.

No obligation. Refuge is in a 357 magnum. Men can be abused just like women can be abused.

No obligation to stay, but an obligation to press charges.
The refuge is the whole world while she sits in jail

No obligation to stay here. I wouldn't expect a woman to hang around under these circumstances.
Call the polilce asn ask them to refer you to a safe place. Good luck.

I would say that he does have an obligation. You know the part of the vow that says, "For better or for worse?" Well, this is the "worse" part to which it refers. He needs to press charges against her, and insure she does her time in prison, followed by anger management, individual therapy, and couples counseling.

Would a woman be obligated to stay with her husband if that happened to her??? Of course not! But, people are stupid and a lot of people would stay with their spouse if that happened.
