I do tell my wife I love her, and I do show her respect. The part of your question to which I object is the "get angry" part. Given that all humans have emotions, I am pretty sure that it is only the newest of the newlyweds who have never been angry at each other as husband & wife. Everybody gets angry. Everybody has arguments. The point, however, is that both can get angry, but still show respect, refrain from cursing and sarcasm, and work together to resolve the anger.

Finally, yes, some women do treat their men as badly as you describe. Luckily, not my wife, though!

It isn't a guy thing. Some men don't know how to show that kind of affection. But not all.My hubby of 15 years calls me several times a day to tell me he loves me.And he also text messages me to tell me.And I also have 6 older brothers and they always told me they loved me.Some men just aren't good at showing emotion. Then again some men are just A** holes.

Yes, some women do and I was one of those women....my reasoning although fleshly (seeking revenge) b/c he first disrespected me. Two wrongs don't make a right. The trick is, i am learning, is to turn the other cheek and allow God to work in that person's heart. But that long-suffering is somethin' else!

And the bad thing is most women let them. We try our best to make it work even though he is an a** hole.

Been there done that! Learned my lesson! Moved on and found a real, loving, caring, supportive man. I was amazed my mother was right, they are out there!

I think its a macho man thing and we women need to stick by our guns because when we give in especially when we haven't created that confusion in their head. They tend to disrespect us and then they quit showing their affection as much as they did before. I hate that game thing between men and women. Can't live with them and can't live without them. Oh what a tangled web it can get into. They can just kiss my grits....

Actually, that's just a mean thing.

Guys tend to be more aggressive than women, so I can kind of understand the angry thing, but you can control your anger (and should - any kind of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or verbal is wrong).

It can go both ways, but secure and mature men and women do not treat people like that.
It sounds as you've been stung by a loser.

That is not a guy thing, it is an individual thing, I don't think it is fair to stereotype. My man would never treat me or anyone else this way. He has way too much respect for himself and others.
