he is in the National Guard and is stationed in Arizona now. He drinks really bad. She flew to see him in Arizona last week and called me yesterday and told me, he got drunk the night before and Hit her. She went downstairs to the Lobby and her boyfriends Sargent saw the Marks on her and she told him the truth. She informed me thay they talked to him and he apologised to her for what he did. She has told me it is NOT the first time he has hit her, and its always when hes drinking. My question is this... She was not brought up in this kind of Behavior. Her father never hit me, in our 28 years of Marriage. She keeps making excuses for him, that She Loves him and he needs her and he will change. But I cannot get it through her head, hes NOT unless he really wants to. Why do women want and need these kind of men?? I am baffled...

I agree with Forlorn Hope. Love is Blind.

She doesn't see the big picture and the bad side of her relationship with her boyfriend, he could potentially hurt her. Tell her that you want whats best for her and tell her you'll be there for her., and let her know what could happen. Unfortunately, you can't decide for her, as she is an adult. She'll hopefully realize what a jerk he is and leave him.

Simple! Women at a young age go for those tough guys. Thats all it is. Noone is attracted to good guys until they hot certain age and looking for to settle down.

Oh and another thing love sometimes is evil. We cant do nothing if heart is telling you something else. Some people never get it and stay with men like that, some women mature and get over the whole passion towards the tough guys.

Yeah, he'll probably grow up to be a wife beater. It seems like he's a violent drunk. Maybe he has lots of issues stemming from bad childhood. He should seek some mental help or you should encourage your daughter to find another guy. But since your daughter is so young she won't listen to you until it's too late. Hence, why don't you just encourage your daughter to get help for the future wife beater. Good luck

sounds to much like that lifetime movie i watched the other day and guess what? the girl ended up dying you need to tell her that you know she loves him but he has a problem. you need to tell her that you are concerned and that she needs to tell him that they need to take a break from each other until he learns to respect her. good luck
