OMG Cove Haven Resorts is GORGEOUS and YES i'd say definately worth the money although it is alot of money.. my boyfriend and I went there in Novemeber of 2005 for our 1 yr anniversary and we just had one of the basic romantic getaway packages but the honeymoon packages and other packages sound even more spectacular.. The room was pure heaven.. we stayed at the Garden of Eden Apple Room I believe it was called.. It was a suite of four rooms and bath.. it had the living room with the heart shaped jacuzzi tub a love seat and 36 inch television, the bed room was a round bed, huge walk in closet and gorgeous fireplace, then it had its own indoor heated pool that was just wonderful I don't think i was out of that pool other than when i was sleeping.. lol it was almost all mirrors and it had a sauna at the other end of the room.. The package I believe if i rember came with breakfast every morning that could be taken in the restaurant or in your room you just had to let them know if you wanted it in your room and it was all you could eat whether you were order in the room or in the restaurant, and it included dinner in the dinning room which you did have to go to the dining room for that to be free, the dining room included entertainment and each night was a theme with the food and the music.. and they did provide room service from the restaurant during certain hours too.. There was plenty of activities that the different packages had scheduled and always things you could do on your own however we went for the privacy to get away by ourselves for a few days so we basicly never left the room other than to run down to the nearest town and get take out for dinner each night so we didn't take advantage of the dining each evening.
yeah i'd definately say its worth the money and hope to get back there again some day..
oh one of the things i loved at the place was coming out of the parking lot walking to our room the deer would just stand in the yard and feed, you could watch them but not get to close but they were very tame I thought and i love animals..
congratulations on your wedding and I hope you have a wonderful honeymoon.. :)

I have been to the poconos twice for different anniversaries. I went last year again for my anniversary. We stayed at the Champagne Towers Cleopatra. That suite is off the chain. On the outside it doesn't look like much, but when you open the door... It's fabulous. The upstairs is kind of like an attic style. They have a heart shaped pool in the room downstairs where the living room is. Then upstairs is the champagne whirlpool bath tub. It's 7ft tall I believe they say. It is in the living room going all the way to the bedroom. When you are there it definitely creates an " honeymoon" atmosphere.. Anyway me and my husband stayed there both visits. Now the only thing is if you go all inclusive you have to eat with other couples in the dining area. Also they have couple activities, but that is not me and my husband's thing. So for us we find that there is not much to do. We usually go to the movies, flea market, and play ping pong. Not a lot of activities. Also the food is not great, and if you choose to eat outside the resort there isn't much choice of restaurants. But it is worth it. The good outways the bad. We have had a great time. Can't wait to go back. Very worth it.

My friends got married in Johnstown, PA and had their honeymoon in the Poconos. They thought it was great, and worth the money. They definitely got to relax and not be bothered by the outside world, which is what they were looking for. Unfortunately, they got married on September 8, 2001 and they were there on 9/11. They didn't know about it for a few more days.

OMG ....... my husband and I went about 2 years before he passed away in an car accident! It is a beautiful place. When we first pulled up, we were like OMG are we at the right place no way can the room be as beautiful as the website shows.......we opened the door and damn it WAS everything they said. Breathtaking! We stayed for 7 nights and 6 days - we thought that was to long. At first we were having a blast doing the different organized activities, eatting breakfast in bed every morning. But then it started getting boring. I would love to go back someday (when i can bring myself to go) but would go for a shorter stay!
One thing I didn't like was when you go for dinner - they sit you at a table of about 3 other couples you don't know. In a place like that and how romantic it is...... i would have loved to sit at a little table with a my husband alone.
It is expensive - but well worth it . I LOVE the champane glass, and having my own pool in the room. One word of advice --- don't use to many bubbles in the champane glass - my husband did, and we had bubbles dripping down the sides of the glass on the carpet in the living room ----- it sure did make for a funny video that I still love to watch even to this day. Go and have fun, enjoy each other and take lots of picture's. Those picture's that i took of my husband while we were there, are some of my favorite picture's to look at when i need to see his face. The biggest smiles!!!!!

Yes i have been there. I had a great time. I had a package with the skiing. Our room had a champagne glass that was a bubble bath, a heart shape swimming pool and a sauna. The bed was in the shape of a cirlce on the second floor and had light up stars on the ceiling. It also had a fireplace. I found it very romantic. We also went horseback riding. It was cold but a lot of fun!

It gives the drivers a different attitude to be more competitive because they have slightly less time to make their way to the front, and adds some aggressiveness perhaps. That also makes it more exciting for the fans and might add a wreck or two because of the tension. All in all, they are just trying to enhance the racing experience for a track like that.

I haven't been to the Poconos for 30 years. What I do remember of the area is that it'll still be chilly and brown (no leaves, no grass). However, there might still be skiing, if that's what you're looking for!
