start off by taking responsibility for what you did wrong, and never shift accusations on to the person you are apologizing to. tell them what you did was wrong and that you are sorry for making a bad descision and hurting thier feelings or jeopardizing thier trust. tell them that thier friendship is important to you and are you willing to make things right. it still might take some time before you get complete forgiveness, but being accountable to them and taking responsibility will open the door. be sincere. there is nothing i hate more than a half a-ssed apology. i'm sure you regret very much what happened, if you are honest with this person things will most likely work out.

Well, to determine how you should say sorry depends on the event that took place. Sounds like he had 7 months to cool off, but something bad musta happened if he is still stand offish. The best way you can say sorry is to just say, "I'm Sorry!"

First off, don't try to make him do anything. Give him his space and time to process. However, lay it out for him. Be very sincere and admit to your fault. Let him know how much you appreciate him and that you understand his decision, whether he chooses to spak to you again or not. And if he decides not to, be okay with it, it may hurt but you have to put yourself in his shoes. And if he says he doesn't want to have anything to do with you anymore then tell him that you understand but when he's ready to rekindle your otherwise good relationship, then you will be there. I know it's easier said than done but it's the best way. Good luck!

well for starters, no MAKEing ppl talk, if they want to talk they will talk if not get over it, i've learned that myself, trying to make some one talk just makes them pissed at you....and it all depends on the "thing" i can't tell you how to say sorry if i don't knw what the "thing" is, but maybe start with i'm sorry......just a thought

Call Him or Email or write him a letter...is best if you make a coffee date to talk to him and apologize in person but if you feel best writing then do so.
Good Luck

If you are truly sorry, then it won't matter to you about how he reacts. Say you are sorry, and hope that you're honesty is enough to bring him back around to be you're friend again.

Just bring up the issue, tell the other person what you feel that might have felt wrong and how felt after it and just say 'Sorry, please forgive me'.
