we get along so well when we're alone together. But if my friend [ his sister ] is there or his friends are there he asks differently. What should I do? I really like him and I don't know how I should try to spend more time with him without scaring him away or freaking out my friend. What do I do?? Please help. By the way, I can't tell my friend anything about this.

I met my boyfriend when I was 15 years old and going into high school. I'm 17 now, almost through with my junior year. Before I met him, my boyfriend was a skater who used to hang out with his friends, get drunk, and smoke weed. Now that we're dating, I feel like he's kind of controlling me:

I wanted to get my belly button pierced and a small tattoo when I turn 18, but he doesn't want me to.

Smoking weed is something I've wanted to try; he says I can't.

I feel like I've missed out on a lot of stuff in high school (i.e. dating other people). We've both talked about marriage, and I really want to marry him...but I feel like I'm just living a dull life.

Any advice?

Please Notice: Please don't judge me for wanting to smoke weed, get a tattoo, go clubbing with my girls, etc. I'm not here to get criticized. I know smoking is extremely dangerous, but it's my choice if I want to do it (even though it's probably stupid). I'm looking for advice, not accusations. Thanks.

My fiancee and I have been together for 6 years, engaged for 3 years, and are trying to plan a wedding without breaking the bank, but for us, that's not much. The only reason we haven't gotten married yet is because of $. I want to have a small inexpensive wedding, but his family wants us to have a big one. I've talked with my fiancee about this and he kinda wants a big one too, but we've both agreed that unless his family pays for it, it's not gonna happen. I want my wedding dress and a nice reception, but at the same time, I just want to go to court and get it over and done with. I was trying to plan a 2007 wedding, but it looks like it's not gonna happen. How can I get this ball rolling and make everyone happy?

8 months after we fell in love, I moved in. Our sex life wasn't great to begin with. My b/f (53) was having ED problems. I love sex and have spent a lot of time learning to be the best lover I can be. I love him and kept hoping it would get better. I (42) felt like I was finally coming into my own sexually before we met. After I moved in, he stopped having sex with me. It's been 6 months now. He hardly kisses me unless I practically force him. He is having physical problems, and stress. He is rather selfish, because he hasn't cared what I wanted or needed. It doesn't take much to be nurturing to someone. Sex isn't everything, but I never opted for a sexless union. I'm hurt and angry and feel ashamed. I have been incredibly understanding and never pressured him or made him feel bad about it. He is definitely not fooling around or gay, so don't hint. How long do I go on when I am not happy, but feel bad if he may be ill? We get along great, I shared how I feel, he says he has no energy.

Well me and my ex have been broken up for about 6 months now, and yes i still love him. However when we broke up he went back to his ex, which really hurt me, a lot. Because he said he would he would never leave me cause he love me too much. But we argue off and on and one day he did something kinda crazy. Well i saw that he was on myspace, so i thought maybe i would be nice, and say hey. I get a message back and it says " This isnt Jermaine this is Shaine (( which is his ex girlfriend that hes back with)). Anyways it also said in the message that i need to stop writing because he doesnt love me anymore. So i end up tellin her a few things, but it turned out to be him!!, why did he pretend to be her. To make me mad, jealous? Because when he finally admitted it being him, he was like "lol, thats funny, but if it was her, u betta not talk to her like dat", Y did this crazy 16 year old do this?

They welcomed my previous boyfriend, but they refuse to have my new guy into their house, or even acknowlege his existence. We've been together for 2 years now, and they would only meet him once - the first and last time. They don't like (a) his age (b) that we live together (c) that he's a different race. My mom was really mean about it when I bring him up, and said that I must have a mental disorder. But I love my parents and my boyfriend too. I don't want them to disown me, but I'm way too old to break up with somebody I really really like just because of my parents. (btw, my boyfriend is one of the nicest and most respectful guys I've ever met. he wouldn't say a bad thing about anybody, and we have a lot of fun together). But I've always had a really good relationship with my parents too...how can I get them to give him a chance?
