depends on how well you know the gal. was she a friend from before or did you just meet the girl or what. if you have prior history it wouldn't be too hard, but i am guessing you don't have prior history with her and that is why you are asking the question.
you could make a lot of small talk (favorites: colors, movies, music genre, music artist, etc.) and it also depends on the setting of the first date. But mainly stay vague and never dwell too deep on the first date.

Find out what makes her feel sexy and romantic. Keep that first date short. Then on the next date, plan to do things that make her feel sexy. Your chances of getting some are far improved.

dont make the date to long nor boring and try to make her smile a few times. lol and dnt pop out with a knock knock joke or something oh yeah and you should do something sweet too like idk......something random and sweet

When you are on your first date, Ask alot about her and tell about you...Be honest about yourself, people love it when there are no lies....Also where they have been in the country, travels, food they like to the animals they have....What do they like to do with the parents. Have fun and remember be yourself..
