we get along so well when we're alone together. But if my friend [ his sister ] is there or his friends are there he asks differently. What should I do? I really like him and I don't know how I should try to spend more time with him without scaring him away or freaking out my friend. What do I do?? Please help. By the way, I can't tell my friend anything about this.

just do it. be play it cool.
you're just being a friend, after all you know her brother as a friend too.
it doesn't mean that you can't go over if his sis is not around, or you two can't hang out.
i'd suggest you keep the liking matter to yourself first.

If he acts differently around people, then he's worried about what they will think. Meaning, he's either worried they may disapprove or that they will make fun of him. I would try out your friend by making statements like, I think your brother is hot. And see what she does. Or ask about his interests alot. Or where he is. If she reacts poorly, then maybe its not a good idea. You might cause your friendship to go south. Is he worth it?

He is trying to get some sex on the low, in other words, he is trying to do it secretly so the sister or his friends won't know and if he acts differently when he is around you he is trying to get it. So if you are just looking for sex, he is the guy, but i doubt he wants anything else.

If he treats you differently around his friends or your friend, he's not gonna be good for you. I'd just back out and find someone else.

the guy feels insecure to act the way he usually does with you when people are around because he may not be sure what he feels for you, or he knows you like him and he just wants to lead you on.
