What are the signs of a guy liking you but he doesn't express it?

Ok, so, people, do you know any signs of a guy liking a girl but he just doesn't express it and keeps it as a secret. This one boy in my homeroom, he had a crush on me and I couldn't believe it because we rarely talk or know each other at all. Someone told me his secret and I asked him, he confessed. You see, I want to know the signs. I hope you are able to answer my question. =)

A lot of guys are very fearful of rejection. They may have been rejected or hurt in the past by a parent or previous romantic partners.

Some of the signs a guy may give you are frequently looking at you, doing things for you (opening doors, offering to help), starting small talk, avoiding eye contact, nervous voice, stumbling over words.

If you like this boy, you may have to make the first moves and pry him from his shell. If you don't, then don't encourage him and tell him now that you're only interested in him as a friend.

If he's good at keeping his own secret, you won't see any signs.

When people go back to highschool reunions, they inevitably hear multiple confessions about how someone liked them soo much but never had the guts to show it.

If you want to see the signs, be actively nice to multiple guys (especially NOT the popular ones) and start to get a feel for the way they react to you. You'll notice if they seem extra nervous around you, say funny things, or start being a lot nicer to you. THESE are the signs you're talking about. You'll probably just have to work for them.

And the more he likes you the quicker he will turn his head the other way when you look back at him.
Until he is confident that you could be attracted to him as well. Then he will most likely ask you out.
