He is my best guy friend and he stares at me and then either looks away or smiles nervously when I catch him in the act. when I switched classes he asked my friend where I was and when she told him he asked what class I had switched too. he was teaching me how to play basketball and we hang out a lot. does he like me? The age difference is a bit too much. You are only 12 and you don't want to be pressured into doing adult things that may have adult consequences (like pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases which are everywhere these days!!). Protect yourself and protect the women you want to be when you grow up.

it's possible that he likes you. that is always a possiblity, but maybe he just thinks you are cute. best way to find out is for you to ask him. it may seem awkward, but it will be the only way you know 100% for sure.
