My husband and I married recently. Our wedding was entirely for our parents and I hated every minute of it! The planning process was completely awful and even the wedding itself was not what I wanted it to be. My problem is that now, I can't get over it. I keep thinking and thinking about how wonderful it would have been if we had done it our way, even though I know that kind of thinking is pointless.

Well, recently, I've been thinking about doing it over. Our dating anniversary is this summer (5 years together!) and I would really like to do something on that date, just for us. Something completely simple, I wouldn't even care if nobody else was there. Despite the huge wedding we had, I think doing something on the day we began our journey together as a couple would mean more to us than all of that hooplah last month. I just can't think of what. It's too early to renew our vows. Can anyone think of what we should do?

My mother has 6 children, 17 grandchildren, & 5 great-grandchildren. My brother, 1 sister and I are all married. Some of my nieces and nephews live with significant others, but are not married. In spite of her advanced age & limited finances, my mother gives her children, their spouses, children & grandchildren the same gift of $$ for Xmas & birthdays. Live-in significant others get a check for their birthdays, & as a couple they get 1 1/2 times the amount a single person would get for Christmas. She is very careful to make sure nobody feels slighted.

My in-laws gave me a pair of pierced earrings for Xmas, & I don't have pierced ears. Even if I did, they're not something anyone who knows me would choose for me, AND I could tell they were re-gifted. My birthday was on the 11th & I didn't even get a card. My husband's was yesterday--he got a card & a hefty check.

I feel like I don't matter to them. Would you feel slighted?

One of my friends was over the other day and he was sitting on my couch, and when he got up all i could smell was as$! The same thing happened last night when we watched the basketball game at my house. He had my whole place smelling like as$! I'm having a card game tonight and he's supposed to come. Should i tell him about his funk, cause there will be people from my job coming over to play and i don't want him to be embarrassed. What should i do?

I knew a brother and sister who had to go to juvenile court for making prank calls and writing a couple of mean pen-pal letters ... this was about 20 years ago.

The brother made most of the prank calls to a teacher at the school, some hang ups, then he got the ingenious idea of calling every exterminator in the yellow pages pretending he was the teacher and leaving his phone number, thus more phone calls.

The sister was prank calling a girl in her class in which her mother happened to be a teacher at the school as well. She was just hanging up.

Back then before e-mail, kids actually had pen-pals... so the sister looked in magazines, got penpals addresses and wrote some pretty insulting letters using the other girls address, so she in turn got "hate mail".

It got to the point that they took samples of the sister's handwriting at the school to incriminate her.

The brother got caught when a tap was placed on the phone.

Is this unfair? Would/Should it happen today?

my problem concerns my best friend of twenty years. we have been friends since we were three. i got married a year ado and, unfortunately, a few months ago my friend and my husband had huge argument. it started about politics, but both my husband and my friend are quite stron, srgumentative people and they ended up shouting calling each other names.

since then, my friend and i have hardly spoken, and she refuses to pay back the $3,000 that i lent her.

she says that she didn't borrow that much, and that my busband had been using my credit card. he says that i must go to a solicitor to get the money back.

what should i do? i know oif i go to a solictor she will make things really hard for me and it will be impossible ever to be friends again.

what would your advice be?

I find men of all races attractive, but I have this weird attraction to Asian men specifically. I've never approached one because I assume that they only like asian women (I'm latina myself). Plus my family would probably think I've gone crazy. Is something wrong with me? How do I get over this?

Me and my girlfriend broke up a little more than a month ago. It was a mutual break up, no arguing or fighting. our relationship was a good one, we were close, i could tell her anything and vise versa. but she needed it, so i did it for her (it killed me) but i love her, still do. I don't know why she wanted the break up, but over time it is okay, but i still want to be her friend. She said she needs space, i said i would respect that. But how long. I just want to see what's going on, and how's she been. I still care about her, but i accept the break up, we said we would be friends, so how long is enough space?

Should I Break Up With one of them or try to split Valentines Day between two dates?

It seems like it would be very difficult to have two dates on Valentines Day.

I wrote a blog dedicated to this topic to elaborate on my thoughts.

If you are curious check out my profile for the link.

My brorther's friends were putting up at my place. As i came out of the bathroom,i overheard my bro's best friend telling another friend of his mean stuff abt me. He said,"when she screams, the whole apartment can hear her". I am pretty hot-tempered i must say but making fun of it? I told him,"If u wanna say such things abt me i would rather you do not do it in my house". He then left the house in anger. My parents and my brother do not know abt this. It shows how lil' these people respect me. Do u think my bro must have been saying mean stuff abt me to his friends?

you smell your boyfriends breath.......it has a natural odor, then you don't see him for 2 days, then you see him after those 2 days, you go to kiss him, and his breath has a "different" odor, like if a guy french kisses you your breath will smell like his for life, the only way to destroy that breath memorie is to french kiss someone new. so its all in the breath, who agrees with me?

How can we take control over men and lead the world? And slave all of them so they can do all the hard work, the dirty work the home work etc… And also sometimes they worship us as goddess. Do you think this is a bad idea? Nature made us that way I think it’s time to be what we were meant to be. What do you think? (:

I was at home for about 4.5yrs raising our 2 children, and am now back at work again for 2.5yrs... not that that seems to have made a difference. But during our marriage, I went to three different counsellors, and he refused to join me. It was always about me "getting better." He never put any effort into our marriage, nor any effort into the raising our children. He would go to work and wouldn't call for 14 hours (and if I called him I had to 'cut to the chase.') Not only was he extremely verbally abusive, for the past year he has threatened divorce on a regular basis to the point of even putting it in writing; he eventually pulled a knife on me, and now that I've left him, he's all of a sudden wonder Dad and is remorseful... apparently he's been "doing some reading" and he's ashamed at how badly he treated me. Is he joking???? Are such drastic measures typical to get one's husband's head around the fact his behaviour was less than exemplary? Guys, thoughts?

He is in prison for 15 years for stranguling me and domestic battery. He strangled me, beat me, left me lying on the floor unconcious, and left. My daughter (then 9) came home and called 911. He was initially arrested on attempted murder charges.

I divorced him and he was sent to prison for 15years determinate and 10 years indeterminate. My daughter and I have both been in counseling because of this and she has made great strides. She is now 11, A student, cheerleader, honor choir, and a happy, healthy child. She misses her dad, though. She was daddys girl before.

Her counselor has agreed to let her see him on a one time visitation to see how it goes. The prison has been pushing me to let her come see him, also.

I am concerned because in Dec he wrote her a letter saying he had cancer and he did not. It devistated her, though. She thought she was going to lose him again. I called the prison and he got in trouble so he wrote me a nasty letter saying what a monster I am.

Hey girls. Ok, i have basically asked out a girl today, and she said yes :) This girl is very special too me. I have been best friends with her for 5 years. The question is, do you think that i should take her out on a romantic date, or just simply take her to one of our old joints, like bowling. Considering this is the first date, i would your opinion. I would ask her, which would be easy, but i would like to suprise her. I know from our conversations, that she loves romantic things, and also know she loves to have a laugh. What should i choose. Would both mix?

Many Thanks

...who pays for the guests that are attending? My BF and I have talked about how we want a small destiantion wedding where it is the best man & guest, maid of honor & guest, parents, our children from previous marriages and that's it. Since we are saving the cost of a big wedding & reception, my BF thinks we have to pay for the enitre party to go on this trip which would be a 1 week cruise or all inclusive resort.

My wife says that she feels very close to her male friend and now she's in a position where she feels he's her soulmate. We are married for 6 years now but she knows this guy hardly for 3 months. Ours was a loving relationship without major problems until she met him somewhere accidentally. She also says she "respects" me and that I'm a nice person. What should I do now?
This guy is not married and apparently is not aware of my wife's feelings. But they have been meeting each other regularly but there's no physical relationship between them.
