Me and my girlfriend broke up a little more than a month ago. It was a mutual break up, no arguing or fighting. our relationship was a good one, we were close, i could tell her anything and vise versa. but she needed it, so i did it for her (it killed me) but i love her, still do. I don't know why she wanted the break up, but over time it is okay, but i still want to be her friend. She said she needs space, i said i would respect that. But how long. I just want to see what's going on, and how's she been. I still care about her, but i accept the break up, we said we would be friends, so how long is enough space?

u've spent enough time waiting. in fact, if she still wanted to be friends, u've probably waited too long. if you still care for her, its time to get in contact

You can talk to her now, if you like. But, unfortunately she may not have to much time to talk to you. If she requested space, then more than likely there was another object of interest. Instead of being dis-respectful, she opted out of the relationship with you, to possibly see other prospects. But that is okay, your break up was amicable. If I may suggest; move on and start going out with other people. I think it will make your separation much easier. It will also help you get over the relationship and break-up faster as well.

Instead of calling her...send a "thinking of you" card with a brief note...if she responds you will know she's ready to talk...if she doesn't, then give it some more time. However, don't wait around forever. If she's not wanting to repair the relationship, then you must move on at some point

needing space is a lame excuse, the only reason she needs space from you is to make room for someone else. Go out a find a different piece you will eventually forget about her, stop dwelling on the past the past don't care about you.

With Valentines Day coming up, i would think that would be the perfect time to test the waters. Send her a nice (not extravagant, but nice) bouquet of flowers to her work with a "just thinking about you and all the good times we had" card.

i think you should send her a thinking of you card or sput a note on her window while she is at work or something and let her know that you are thinking about her and wanted to just check on her and see how things are going..tell her you would like to be friends still!
