he says they were friends before we got married and that he was actually embarassed when he saw the picture.he looked shocked when i confronted him about it but he insists they are just friends and that he did not know why she sent him a picture of herself.why would a single girl send her picture to a married man?what or who do i believe?

Don't just assume he is messing around on you ok? If this is the first time he has ever done something like this then just let it go this time. Don't mess your marrage up over this one thing. If you want to do further investigation then go to his email or IM and look in the message archives and see what they talk about. If they were just friends before you married him then just remember that YOU are the one he married. Not her. Don't worry about why she sent him the picture, she is probably just weird. As long as he goes to work and then comes home to you everynight, thats all you need to worry about.

I agree that you should meet this girl. If you can from his email ask her to meet at some place and then show up there waiting for her. You have her picture so you know what she looks like. Sit down with her and simply lay her picture on the table so that she can see it. Ask her what this is about. Tell her you are his wife and would like to know what is going on. If possible take a small tape recorder so you can play back everything to your husband if there is something juicy in the conversation. He'll know you met and with the tape recording you know he has been lying to you and he won't be able to weasel out of anything. Good luck.

Don't jump to any conclusions. If he's been unfaithful to you or if he has lied to you before you have a reason not to believe him. Keep in mind that it is possible for married people to have single friends. It doesn't mean that he's cheating on you. If you ever bring the subject up with him, look at his body language and eye contact. If he's lying to you, you'll know it. Good Luck.

Be honest and frank with him, ask him (with emotions in check if you can:)) to come clean and give him the oppertunity to tell you everything (if there is something to tell). Then after you hear him out, give your self soem time alone to process adn understand what he said. What I do in cases like this is I weigh what my gut instict is versus what I am hearing, and then make a decision. Do you want to believe him? Do you want to work things out? Answer these questions then listen to your heart.
Bottom line if you allow him the space to speak openly to you without accusing him right away, he may surprise you.

He is probably flattered by her attention. The single girl probably wants more so your husband needs to be very aware and not fall into an affair with her. You need to look for signs of cheating because I know what she wants. Be careful!

Either way, if you dip into the habit of getting paranoid and jealous if he ever makes contact with a woman, you might as well leave him now because your destined to create a living hell for the both of you.
I'm married. I have friends that are female. My wife doesn't know all of them either...she knows OF them. It DOES NOT mean I'm looking to sleep with them.
Finally, if you don't trust him, why be married to him? There's THE question for this infestation of man-haters!

Just friends do not send adult pics to each other. Either he is hiding stuff from you OR she likes the fact she wants what she can't have a married man. She can't look for a man for herself she wants yours she could be purposely sending him that stuff. If you have to why not hire a private investigator? I hope you get the answers your looking for.

Believe him but let him know that you wont be lied to cheated on or ignored for this person. You should ask to meet her and make your presence very well known.
I know it wont help but, my husband actually was having an affair with a situation similar to this. Be careful and keep the lines of communication wide open.

if you have access to his email, send this back to her: "So what do we do now?"
the answer will tell you everything you need to know
I bet he has told her, so you wont get anymore in that email, but probably another one you dont know about. he may not be cheating, and I have female friends too, but what sort of picture was it? a decent one or a nude?
friends dont show their bodies to their friends, only those they have a sexual interest in. but a face is just a face.
