Hey girls. Ok, i have basically asked out a girl today, and she said yes :) This girl is very special too me. I have been best friends with her for 5 years. The question is, do you think that i should take her out on a romantic date, or just simply take her to one of our old joints, like bowling. Considering this is the first date, i would your opinion. I would ask her, which would be easy, but i would like to suprise her. I know from our conversations, that she loves romantic things, and also know she loves to have a laugh. What should i choose. Would both mix?
Many Thanks

I would take her somewhere you can have some fun and some laughs but then i would end the date with a romantic dinner and a quite walk under the stars. She'll be surprised that you thought of both things. Good luck and have a great time!

If I were you, I would take her somewhere romantic like a proper date. Nothing too heavy though. Just a nice restaurant, somewhere you can chat and relax. She is probably expecting this kind of date and may be disappointed if it ends up being the same old stuff that you normally do. Good Luck!!

Well as she has been your best mate for 5 years she probably isn't expecting anything very special, so i would say suprise her, take her somewhere she has never been but always wanted to go, buy her something that she loves like her favourite chocolate or a piece of jewelry she told you about.
But most importantly don't forget that you have been her friend. She knows what your like and will notice if you are trying to hard and when you try to hard you tend to screw things up.

As you are her best friend and soon to be boyfriend I think.
Take her on a romanic night out e.g diner and then have some thing fun like Bowling so you can still have that bit of fun together. Show her your soft side whilst having diner and your fun side at the bowling. Dont forget to get her a rose if they come round, yes we go shy but we love them really.
Good luck hope it goes well

Why don't you take her on a romantic meal (late Lunch or Early Dinner) then take her somewhere fun
That way you have a bit of both
Or take her somewhere fun first then surprise her with a romantic meal
Good luck either way

A mix will do, cause something you've already done together is a bit boring and not special enough for a date. But a very romantic environment can freak her out.

Take her to see a romantic comedy or rent one. And then do a romantic dinner. Italian always gets me. You don't want her to feel like it's just another hanging out session. So do something romantic and sweep her off her feet.

yeah i would take the romantic date...she used to seeing the "friend" side of you, so bowling is the same thing u coulda did when u were just friends. u want a night that says "romantic date" and not "hang out time"...besides its the first date.

Don't go bowling, then she'll think that your relationship will stay the same. Do something romantic, show her that you want to be together for real. Show her that you value her friendship but would like to take it to the next level. The romantic dating level.

Take her out to a romantic dinner. And then see what she wants to do.... You could find out if she likes to bowl, etc. Or just go see a movie. n
