When people are fighting they say things to try and hurt the other. That's almost certainly the case here.
It's still out of line, but you shouldn't take that seriously. Come on - have you ever told him you wish you hadn't married him? Hated him etc? Well you didn't mean that either, did you?

Don't read too much into it. He was just trying to make you sad, seems to have worked too. Why not confront him with your question? I'll bet that would shed a completely different light on things than what you're having to live through in your brain.

He was probably just lashing out in a moment of anger and trying to hurt you. Wait til you have both calmed down adn ask him rationally what he meant by it.

I would say it means he was angry and being petty. Sounds like you two need to work on your communication skills. There is a right way to argue, and yelling stupid hurtful things is not it.

He was probably trying to hurt you the best way he could. IT is bad, I admit, but I am sure he didn't mean it. Good luck. Mayabe he said it out of spite.
