i like this girl for about a year or so, we became good friends, we talk about school, whats going on, maybe a little flirting, just the basic stuff. but when ever i drop hints that i like her more than a friend, the next couple days she ignores me like i was a someone else. which kills me inside making wonder if friends is all we'll ever be. and after a few days pass she'll act as it never happened. does she want to be just friends? is she telling me where i am in our relationship? sometimes actions are louder then words.

i'm really confused. Majority of people here in the philippines are taking up a nursing course (even doctors) because it's in demand in other foreign countries, and a chance to migrate abroad. im torn between taking up Medicine and Nursing. i really want to be a doctor but i would spend a total of 13 years studying (whew!) but nuRsing is just 4 years. Moreover, i want to settle down at the age of 24 or 25 but if i take Med, it wouldn't be possible because i would graduate when im 30. Right now im in a pre-med course and i still have time to decide. help!!!!

One of my closest friends and I are both going through a really hard time at the moment. I had a death in the family about two weeks ago and they have been pretty unsupportive. At the same time, a person close to them is extremely sick and not expected to live for many more months. My family member's funeral was last week and they didn't ask about it when I saw them next so I felt pretty neglected but at the same time I understand they have their own problems and am trying not to be unfair. Any opinions or advice? thanks!

The other night my best friends little sister who is 23 and I 27, were watch a movie at my place together. My house is very big and creepy at night. Long story short I got a dim-witted idea to pull a prank on her (like we always do!), by scaring her once she got back from my bathroom. So when she was walking down the darkened hall I jump out and scared the crap out of her! She punched me in the chest and stormed off. I laughed, thinking it was funny at the time…until I followed her into the living room and realized she was crying really badly. I was extremely shocked because she NEVER cries! Well not when anyone is watching. Well I posted a previous question relating to this one yesterday…I got a lot of good answer. However everybody told me to talk to her and find out why she was really crying but to be honest I don’t know how to go about it. Every time I ask her why, she tells me without making eye contact “I don’t know.” And tries to change the subject…we both know that there was another reason for her crying but she won’t say. I really do care about her… I could pressure her into telling me but I don’t want to make her cry once more. She seems to be unusually vulnerable from the other night.

How do I get her to open up to me, and tell me the truth, without making things worse?

My guy friend and i get on really well and he is always looking at me and acting as though he likes me but yesterday when we were talking at work he just stopped talking and was just looking at me for what seemed like ages, not like staring me out or anything but just like gazing at me then after he just carried back on with his work.
