on sunday my ex (who now lives 3 hours away, and who i haven't seen since October) asked me to get back together...i said yes. I still haven't seen him, he's visiting my uni in Feb. I was really stupid last night, and kissed another guy. I don't know what to do - should I tell my boyfriend? or is this a sign I don't like him as much as I thought?

Its a sign, if you truly felt for the guy you wouldn't have kissed someone else. Long distance relationships are hard at the best of times, and if you don't truly feel for the guy it will be harder to stay faithful and you will only end up hurting your self and making your self miserable.
If you're meant to be together you will be. Maybe have a break till Feb and see how you stand and really feel for each other when you see him.
Tell him the truth, lies always come out eventually and it will be worse later and the guilt is never a good thing to live with!

An ex is usually an ex for a reason. I don't know why you two broke up in the first place, but ask yourself if you want more of the same before you agree to get back with him. As far as kissing someone else, you don't owe your ex any explanations until February, which is when (if) you actually get back together.

Don't get serious with either one of them. Do what you want and have fun. Don't get attached or bogged down that way you won't have a guilt complex. You have a right to play the field. Long distance relationships are doomed to failure. Why did you break up the first time? Are you certain things have changed enough to where it won't happen again? As for the new guy, no big deal. I'd advise you not to get into a relationship, period, and just have fun.

It's probably an indication that you don't like your ex as much as you thought you did. If he lives 3 hours away, you probably don't see him that often anyway, so I would tell him that you want to take things slowly and see how things go, and in no way are you back together like a proper couple. That way it gives you time to test the water and see how you feel about him without such a big commitment.

You have to decide what you want. Kissing another guy only means you have needs. So, you have to take a decision: should you look for a stable relation with someone living near you, or jump right in a new one with your ex? In the future, will not build a relation with a guy you rarely see or touch, because you realy need to build it day by day. It's up to you. And, you should tell about the kiss...

You have not got anyone to answer to. If your b/f of 3 hours away wants to get back with you he has to make the effort to come and see you not to use uni as an excuse

How can you still call a guy whose 3 hours away and you haven't seen since October your boyfriend.
He's just a friend you may or may not be having sex with - sometimes.

I think its a sign that long distance relationships are really hard to make work. Don't tell him anything, thats the last thing he needs to hear. I think you should re-examine your relationship with your boyfriend. I don't believe its going to work out since its a long distance relationship and people who love each other should be together.

Usually when people break up it's for a reason. That same reason will always creep back whether it be in a month, a year or last night.

From experiance you can never go back.

Best of luck

you need to think about why you broke up with your ex in the first place, and then think about whether you will have a more fruitful relationship with the guy you kissed. choose one and stick to your choice for a week or so, and see if you feel the same way after that. after a week, i dont think it will be too late to change...
