What makes it so hard is that we did'nt see each other for 11 years. Now she abuses every thing I extend to her. What kills me is her lying and having sex with guys she just met. I'm so angry and hurt I want to EXPLODE! I love her more than the world but she does'nt give a **** about me. All she wants to do is party.
Any advise how to get her to listen?

i have been in "sue's" life since she was a baby so i'm not new to her.but over the last few yrs her behavior has gotten worse.the main problem is she is an only child and both her parents make her think the world was put here just for her and give into her every wish.when i ask sue to do something she answers me rudely.she hates it when my bf does anything with me and will tell he him should be playing with her not doing something with me.she thinks when she comes over she should have her dads undivided attention.my bf is very passive with her to say the least and lets her get away with murder.sue lives with us 50% of the time so all this makes it very hard on me.how can i learn to deal with this since she is not my child and both her parents think she is "their perfect little angel"?

I sometimes have this feeling for one girl (I'm a guy) and I'd say I'm in love. But then, after a few months, I'd lose it and then I'll reflect, "Had I really been in love?" I would think then that I am only infatuating. Now I'm really really confused. My guy friend was feeling really bad and was hinting he was going to kill himself. I didnt know what to do and I paniced so I told him that I like him (because I know he likes me back) and that I would go out with him. But I really dont like him at all. I dont know what to do. I can't find a pic of it anywhere but it is almost a teal colour. Its shape is similar to a Bird of Paradise, I think but it is much smaller. I thought it might be a type of tropical flower that is dyed blue but I am not sure... all I know that it is a much different blue than most 'blue' flowers like hydrangeas, etc. Names and/or links to pictures would be greatly appreciated as I am using a dark teal as one of my wedding flowers and I thought it might look good for the boutonnieres.

My ex and I got together in May of 2005. We had a great relationship until my mother began interfering too much. After that things were more and more difficult. She didn't understand why I listened to my mother so much despite being 18. I broke up with her in March of 2006 for that reason and the fact that college was coming quickly. She was upset with me making a decision she felt wasn't necessary for months. I felt it was. We had prom two months away and our one year three months away. I felt that the timing would have made things worse. We maintained contact after words and it felt as if I hadn't broken up with her in the first place. When I left for college, we didn't talk as much. She was dating someone else, but I didn't have the heart to date anyone and hurt her more. We have been talking lately of getting back together but she is hesitant claiming that she doesn't trust me and is afraid of more heartbreak. I love her. Any suggestions?

I cant take it anymore! 1.) i can hardly talk to my bf becauz he is too much of a wimp to stand up to his little sister and tell her to get off the fone. 2.) All my parents care about is each other! I am a 22yr old white male. I am dark skinned though for a white guy. I rock J's, Tims, got diamonds on my neck and in my ears, am a college sr, and work 40 hrs a week. Almost all of my friends are black. I don't have but maybe like 2 white friends. I dont try to be "black" it is jus I grew up in cities where there wasn't all of this divide that you find in small towns n all. I consider myself "urban" really. Anyways, I am hella attracted to black girls, but I never see the white men-black women couples that often. I was wondering, are they attracted to white guys like me or is it just a lack of interest by a large number of them? I mean everything like if you are attracted is individual, I know, but it doesn't seem to be a common trait, thats all. What if a couple that have been reasonably happily married for over ten years and one of them hits the other during an argument.

The "abuser" hit his/her mate, but did not do serious trauma. The innocent mate was more shocked than physically hurt.

Should the other mate file for divorce immediately?

Or, give the "abuser" another chance, since the act is unprecedented?

Does it matter which of the mates (husband or wife) is the abuser?

Some couples who were married fifty years ago are still as happy as they were the day they got married. Then you meet couples who have been married for three years and are already seeking couples therapy or divorce lawyers! My husband and I were married 8 years ago on the weekend of my 18th birthday and are as happy as we were the day we got married. Yet, it seems that when I tell people that I get a look of disbelief from young people, and sweet looks of happiness from older people. Why is there such a difference between the generations?
