I can't find a pic of it anywhere but it is almost a teal colour. Its shape is similar to a Bird of Paradise, I think but it is much smaller. I thought it might be a type of tropical flower that is dyed blue but I am not sure... all I know that it is a much different blue than most 'blue' flowers like hydrangeas, etc. Names and/or links to pictures would be greatly appreciated as I am using a dark teal as one of my wedding flowers and I thought it might look good for the boutonnieres.

I have googled blue flower, blue wedding flower, teal flower, teal wedding flower, blue/teal tropical flower, blue/teal dyed flower, and about 20 other text/image searches. I am really looking for someone who just knows what I am talking about. It's a really distinctive colour and I used to see them a lot but haven't lately. Maybe they were a fad that had passed?

not an iris, freesia, or delphinium... when I say that it reminds me of a bird of paradise, it is because this flower also has a bit of a bird-like shape.

I honestly have no idea what you're looking for, but here's something else you could Google. Is there any possiblity that it's a hybrid? My favorite rose is a peace rose, which is basically a yellow rose cross-bred with a pink rose, but it could be 2 different versions of the same flower in the same color (I believe the JFK rose is a cross breed of 2 red roses.)

This may take more time than you have, or are willing to allow, but I found a link that maybe useful to you. It allows you to search flowers by picture, rather than name. It may be helpful, but you may have also already been here.

You need to talk to a florist or someone who works in botany.
