It's amazing how insensitive and disrepectful a man can be.
First of all, you call the shots. If you don't want to work, don't. The most important person right now is you. The last thing you want to do is overextend yourself, jeopordize the baby, and end up on bedrest (like what happened to me). If you can't get that point across to your husband can you reach out to his parents for a little help and intervention? Oh, and pray everynight that in his next life he'll have a uterus......
good luck!

For one you can remind him that you are growing a whole other person inside your body and ask him what kind of energy he thinks something like that might take. Secondly, drag him to your next appt. and have your ob explain to him what pregnancy does to a womans mind....especially at this 6 month mark and you're just gonna get more clumsy more forgetfull more tired just a lot more of the same. That is not even mentioning the new symptoms you will start to get the new 3rd trimester aches and pains. Emotionally it's strainfull as well it's everything you could ever hope to avoid in your life and he wouldnt want to work with a 20 lb tumor on the front of him!! Just a few suggestions....

well first--good luck with the job thing. ha! i cannot see anyone hiring a woman who is 6 months pregnant.
why not have him go to the doctor with you next time. have him wait in the waiting room til you have a chance to speak with your doctor. tell him the problems. after that have the doctor call your husband in and explain how a woman who is 6 months pregnant obviously feels.
i gained 50 lbs each with my first two sons. i actually waddled. that is sooooo just not good. i felt awful and i was exhausted all the time. yes--- i can certainly remember how you feel.
good luck.

Sweetie, I was pregnant and worked a full time job, did martial arts 3x a week up until the day before my due date, got the nursery and everything else together and basically did it all. i had a perfect pregnancy and a healthy baby.
being pregnant is not an excuse to be lazy or make excuses. you can do almost as much as you normally can. it is NOT difficult being pregnant unless you make it difficult.

You can do it if you really try. I worked 25 hours a week at a restaurant until 3 weeks before my son was born and I was in college full time getting straight A's until 4 days before my due date.

Get your doctor to explain to him that you're not in peak condition. Guys are much more likely to listen to professionals. Also, whatever you do, DON"T BE WHINY. Guys can't stand it at all.
And to the person above me, every woman is so different in their pregnancies that it's too difficult to judge by the standards of others. I've seen a lot of pregnant woman who get very physically weak during their pregnancies and i've also seen people like my mother who commuted to work as the president of a geriatric company. You just have to take them as they are. Unless they're whiners.......DON"T WHINE.

You can't. Your husband sounds like a hopelessly moronic bully. Ask yourself if you want to raise your child around an insensitive jerk like that.

Get him to wear a belly suit!!! Make him understand how big you're getting and uncomfortable you are. Then get him drunk and ask him to do your school work for you, then see how smart he thinks he is!!!
Failing that, tell him straight out.

Have your OB-GYN call him and have a chat with him, explaining things from the scientific perspective.
