When a man in a car slows down next to a woman walking along a sidewalk and asks for directions, is it a pickup line? And whenever this happens to me it's always a really dumb question...like they ask me, "Where is ____ street" when it's obviously the major street the next one over. So I'm starting to think it's a pickup line. Can you confirm this or do men actually ask for directions?

i called the girl i liked the other night to tell her how i feel. we are really close friends n people say it looks as if she likes me. i even told people on this whole yahoo thing some things about her and they all said she probably does like me. i thought telling her the truth about my feelings for her that night over the phone would be easy but i was wrong. i kept telling her i had something to tell her but i didn't know how to put it into words. i made it pretty obvious and am pretty sure she knew what i wanted to tell her but she played it off. she was acted as if she had no idea but she's a girl so i knew she knew. she told me to either tell her or wait because the right moment would probably come along. she said that if it were her in my spot that she would wait till she knew what she wanted to say and had everything clear before saying anything because she wouldn't know what the response of the othe person would be. What does what she said mean? What should i do? i need help.

There is this woman that I really like who works at the bank that I go to. I truly think that she is really pretty with a beautiful smile. I noticed that she isnt married or enagaged bc there was no ring on her finger at all. I know banktellers are supposed to be nice to all customers. She sometimes works as a teller or at the drive thru window. How can i find out if she is single? and what is the best way of getting her to notice me? Should i write her a note? bc the other teller could be listening to my convo with her if no one is there. What is the best thing thing i should do or how should i ask her out? thanks again.

Ok here is the deal , i have known this girl for over 2 1/2 years already and we are like always joking around and fighting but jokingly,....I know her through her mom who used to work with me, i have always liked her but know I really care for her, more than just as a friends....The thing is that she is really the shy type, so am I, and she always keeps her feelings inside,....so she won't get hurt by another guy, her last BF was very possessive, anyways.what can give for Valentines that show i care for her. more than just as friends.............

We've always stuck together on hating our step mother and now shw wants to get to know her. Well, at least that's what my sister tells me. She said that she can't hang out with me while she's working on a relationship with the drag-queen because my "bad attitude" could influence how she speaks to or thinks about our step mother. She thinks that dad will be happy with her if she makes the effort. I think it doesn't matter and that we should just keep on hating her. We've done it since we were teenagers and I think we shouldn't break a 10 year streak. I think my sister should still hang out with me even though she's faking a relaitonship with our step-disaster. What do you think?

I'm just sick with anger at what this guy is doing to me! First off, he broke up with me over one year ago, and slept with his best friend (now they are dating - did I mention that his best friend is male?). Out of the goodness of my heart, I agreed to let my ex live in my condo in Alaska while I moved to Alabama and got on with my life. He agreed to pay the mortgage and condo dues as monthly rent. Now, one year later. I'm working on selling the condo, something he is in total agreement with. When my real estate agent looked at the condo, she told me it's completely trashed. I'm going to have to sell it for thousands less than it's worth because of that. Now, I just found out that he hasn't paid condo dues in over a a year (and lied to my face when I asked about it a few months back)! I now owe over $2,000 which is going to come out of the profits of the condo. Does any one else have ex husbands like this? Please tell me I'm not the only one!

My husband and I differ on the issue of romance. I think that when people love each other romance should spark by itself. Dancing, wine by candlelight and lots of foreplay should be the standard, atleast in my opinion. My husband who loves me, is romance challenged. Doing these things he feels are unnecessary and awkward to him. I get frustrated because I think he should just "know" or just "feel" what to do but he sits there umoved and unresponsive. I asked him what his idea of romance is and he said spending time together watching TV or just talking about nothing in particular atthe dinner table while our son is sleep. Why is he not comfortable with the "traditional" type of romance? Are all men like this? How can we meet in the middle (plus, who's right??)

It seems the headlines on any news worthy internet website, tabloid or front newspaper or television is about sex. When is it anyone’s business who has sex with who and who with? We're inundated with sexuality, be it underage, overage, perverted or otherwise. I’m sick of it. In other cultures, no one bothers with idolizing sexuality, nor for that matter, does anyone care, but for Americans and our Western media, we’re obsessed with sex. Am I over exaggerating or is this being forced down are throats purposely?

I was good friends with a girl for 5 years and dated her for 8 months. The relationship ended harshly and we tried to be friends afterwards, but we weren't over each other. We agreed to go 2 months without seeing or speaking so we can get over each other. 2 months isn't a long time, but the longest we've ever been apart is 3 weeks. Is there any simple way to keep my mind off of her? She's one of my best friends and I want to get over her so we can be friends again.

My mom and sister want to go see this play with my sister's friend and her mom. I honestly have no desire to see this play-whatsoever. However, my mom and sister have been commenting that I don't spend enough time with them. It is true that I have been going out with my friends more, but I honestly do not want to go. Either way, I look like an a$$ or b*itch for not going. Should I suck it up and make everyone miserable, or just skip so I'm not wasting $90 on a ticket?

Actually, we're already engaged, and that's why he's taking me for granted. He's hanging out with the guys SO MUCH, knowing that I won't break up with him since I've always tried to be a "cool girlfriend" who supported his "guys" relationships. I've let him blow off countless dates with me, and only recently have I talked to him about it, that I am NOT a doormat for him to walk over, and that we need to set specific times when we can do things together, regardless if "the guys" decide to call him to hang out. Tonight is another night like that-- I have not seen him since lunch-- he is playing with the guys until around midnight, and then we both have to sleep bc we have work tomorrow. I planned with him to let tomorrow be our day/night together but why do I feel guilty? It's almost like I know he's happy and comfortable with the guys- I feel bad for making him be stuck to me tomorrow... But ours is a relationship too, he says, and he wants to build it. What complete BS!! What do I do?

I have had gut feelings that he is, and for a while now, and sometimes he acts really weird. I have caught him hugging on other women like at the stores and stuff. Then when I asked him why he gets really mad and says that I shouldn't be questioning him. Tonight he got a phone call from a female co-worker and she made the comment on the answering machine that this is the first night that we will be working together. What do you think?
