We've always stuck together on hating our step mother and now shw wants to get to know her. Well, at least that's what my sister tells me. She said that she can't hang out with me while she's working on a relationship with the drag-queen because my "bad attitude" could influence how she speaks to or thinks about our step mother. She thinks that dad will be happy with her if she makes the effort. I think it doesn't matter and that we should just keep on hating her. We've done it since we were teenagers and I think we shouldn't break a 10 year streak. I think my sister should still hang out with me even though she's faking a relaitonship with our step-disaster. What do you think?

Even my mom is telling me that I should be nicer to the step-whore. I just can't. She has not right being a part of our lives. My older sister is not being fair and now my mother is trying to get in good with dad for some reason.

I Think Your Sister Is Right... I Mean, You Can't Spend Your Whole Life Hating Someone - What's That Going To Prove?? You Should Try And Make A Relationship With Your StepMother... You Never Know, You Might End Up Really Liking Her!!

You're in your 20s. It's time to stop being petty. Even if you don't like her, you can still respect her as a human being and the woman your father found worthy of companionship. I respect your sister. Breaking a "10 year streak" of a snotty attitude toward someone is hard to do.

Maybe instead of being a selfish brat you should be happy that your dad found someone and try to get along with her. Your sister is smart and obviously cares about others. Get over yourself and try to stop being selfish and just be friends with your step-mom you probably don't even have a good reason for hating her. She obviously hasn't done anything bad to you if your mom is telling you to be nice to her.

What do I think? I think she is being a real jerk. She shouldn't let a fake relationship come between a real one. Tell her that and see what happens. And you shouldn't break a 10 year streak!!! That would be sad. :(
